We’re seeking a Product Information Manager to lead MacPherson’s Product Information data program with a focus on implementing optimized process and data standards, and ensuring data quality to achieve best-in-class digital shelf execution across a variety of publishing channels, from our customer partners’ to our own B2B website.

This individual will play a critical and transformational role in operationalizing the execution of Product information processes, and will partner with internal contributing teams and vendor business partners to improve processes, data consistency, quality and optimization across our catalog of products. This new role is responsible for delivering conversion improvement through best in class eCommerce content for consumers to learn about, interact with and purchase our brands.

The Product Information Manager will be part of an exciting, transformative team within MacPherson's and will collaborate with and coordinate multiple contributing teams including Creative Services & DAM, Data Operations, Merchandising/Brand, IT and our vendor partners while servicing the publishing needs of the eCommerce and IT teams.

This role will be part of MacPherson’s Creative Services team, joining a group of creative professionals in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The role partners closely with the Digital Asset Manager, Copywriter, eCommerce Analysts and Account Managers, as well as the Merchandising & Brand team, Data Operations and IT teams.

Reporting to the Creative Services Manager, this role can be fulfilled working remotely.

Responsibilities:

  • Process Development & Oversight: develop, implement and manage processes and procedures that govern the program for data standards and data quality as it relates to the system solution for PIM/DAM. Develop optimized workflows for both contributing teams and content users and support on-going optimization/enhancements according to best practices & user feedback.
  • Partner closely with system contributors and users to operationalize, monitor, and evolve PIM/DAM practices to achieve best-in-class content across products & customer platforms
  • Strategy: Collaborate with system users and IT to understand short and long term objectives and then develop and ensure alignment with a strategic technical roadmap for the PIM/DAM system
  • Decision maker for product information schema while consulting and partnering with contributing teams to ensure data consistency
  • Understand and document existing data collection processes
  • Understand retail partner PIM/DAM needs, and any other channel publication needs by maintaining a catalog of retail partner information requirements, data sources and data owners
  • Work with both internal contributors and business partners to add new data and metadata needs as appropriate
  • Govern the processes of publication/syndication, with an understanding of the timing, dependencies and risk areas between internal go to market needs and retailer/platform data demands. This will include mapping retailer requirements to PIM/DAM content for publication channels, monitoring readiness of those channels, and directing and coordinating contributors toward filling channel gaps.
  • Develop, implement and manage a lifecycle process for providing content refresh and seasonal content to partners and platforms
  • Contribute: Assist in digital shelf set-up and content updates and ensure content is up to date and ready for all publications/syndications
  • Project/Program Management: Lead projects while partnering with contributing teams and business partners toward PIM/DAM enhancements and system changes required for continued growth
  • Create reporting and/or data quality scorecards to inform collaboration with contributing teams and partners to provide visibility and drive decisions for ensuring data consistency and quality
  • Stay informed of trends and best practices for eCommerce content as it pertains to site merchandising and online user experience
Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years experience working with an eCommerce PIM/DAM required with strong understanding of data usage trends and industry requirements
  • Experience with GS1 Standards/GDSN choreography is preferred
  • Experience with Salsify is a huge plus
  • Experience with PIM and DAM integration required
  • Proven program management capabilities managing data driven processes with the ability to lead & motivate cross-functional teams
  • Exceptional organizational skills with ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, prioritize, work with competing deadlines and adapt to change
  • Must be detail oriented, self-starter and comfortable with navigating ambiguity
  • Accountable, responsible, partner-oriented and collaborative, and able to interface with all levels of management and a wide spectrum of personnel
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills, competence in influencing others and experience in change management and transformation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to guide the analysis and discussion of issues
  • Experience and comfort in leading when not necessarily a subject matter expert
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
