What will I be doing?

As the Manager of Content Platforms at Hilton, your role involves implementing the team's strategy, focused on Digital Asset Management and Media Asset Management systems. Success in this pivotal position depends on adept leadership, strategic thinking, and a critical fusion of strong technical and communication skills. Your ability to articulate the development and benefits of content platforms in both technical and layman's terms is paramount, given the visibility of the role.

Advocating for the Content Platforms discipline across the organization, engaging diverse stakeholders, and fostering collaboration among team members all demand exceptional interpersonal communication skills. Moreover, you will play a crucial role in product management, overseeing the development of future features, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring the content ecosystem aligns with broader enterprise goals while staying at the forefront of industry advancements. Your proficiency in performance management, goal setting, and a practical approach to problem-solving further underscore the importance of this dynamic role within the Hilton organization.

More specifically you will:

  • Bring to life the strategy for the Content Platforms team, ensuring effective collaboration and alignment with a strong focus on MAM and the video across our owned and paid channels.
  • Exceptional communications skills to story tell the development and benefits of our content platforms in technical and layman’s terms.
  • Advocate for the Content Platforms discipline across the organization, ensuring a customer-first mindset when developing or enhancing our content capabilities.
  • Engage and build a cross-disciplinary content community at Hilton.
  • Communicate with stakeholders and leaders across Hilton, including Marketing & Loyalty, MartTech, and Product organizations, to resource teams, resolve problems, and develop future projects and initiatives.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for our digital content ecosystem which includes training, road-mapping, and documentation.
  • Build and develop your team members through talent reviews, succession planning, and career development plans.
  • Manage financial budgeting for the function (vendor and consultants).
  • Work with senior management and other peers for strategy development and execution planning.
  • Facilitating goal-level creation for the broader function and working with managers to ensure the goals cascade to all Team Members.
  • Conducting regular, productive performance reviews and ensuring continuous feedback throughout the team
What are we looking for?

The success in this role will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills:

  • Experience in a leadership role – preferably within a content or related technology role
  • Proven experience in business ownership of content tools, including DAM, MAM, ServiceNow, and workflow technology
  • Have strong personal impact and resilience and influence stakeholders to gain support for significant changes and critical decisions
  • Development of detailed implementation roadmaps, budget planning, and project reporting
  • Take a practical approach to solving problems and gaining agreement
  • Understanding of content development and API integrations
  • Skilled at facilitating and encouraging collaboration among team members
  • Skilled at performance management and goal setting
  • Demonstrated track record of team leadership within a large-scale, fast-moving environment
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills (written and oral) with an emotionally intelligent communication style and solutions-orientated approach
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects at once
  • Adept at quickly understanding new businesses, operations, and process flows and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency
Required Qualifications

  • Minimum Education: BA/BS Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • Sitecore experience (DAM)/ Mimir Experience (MAM) or similar systems
  • Experience in a content leadership position
  • Prior experience at the management level
  • Any Licenses or Certificates desired: ServiceNow Certified Application Developer CSA and/or ServiceNow Certified System Administrator CAD
