Job Description

A Day in the Life at Wonderful Agency:

  • Lead development of the Asset Management system, policies, and workflow
  • Spearhead the design and implementation of metadata management strategies
  • Manage and organize all still and video assets
  • Collaborate with and direct the Asset Management Coordinator to make sure Asset Management policies and strategies are unified and are followed with static image and vector format assets
  • Coordinate with other Asset Management team member, video, photo, design, and content teams ensuring that all digital assets are successfully tagged with accurate metadata and stored properly
  • Maintain knowledge of digital archiving, maintenance strategies, and processes
  • Research and promote adoption of new asset management technologies and techniques
  • Search for and compile assets for large projects as needed; download files from outside vendors as necessary
  • Report all topics related to Asset Management projects, planning, and policy effectively to upper management
Qualifications

Your Contribution to Wonderful Agency:

  • Expert knowledge of Mac-based editorial tools of the trade, including (but not limited to) Premiere and other Adobe Creative Suite products
  • Superb organizational skills, particularly with digital file management, ensuring all editorial elements and media are properly organized, tagged, and stored accurately and consistently
  • BA in Visual Arts-related field, postgraduate study related to Asset Management and Archiving
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience as a digital media manager working with all types of files including video production workflow, video project organization, and archiving
  • Prior experience working with a variety of DAM systems, preferably Widen or Media Beacon
  • Familiarity with LTO tape and Cloud archiving systems
  • Knowledge of all mainstream video and still file formats
  • Fluency in the technical aspects of standard commercial editing and post-production protocol; working knowledge of the post-production process from dailies and transcodes to final deliverables
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to reach out and work across all agency departments as necessary
  • Comfortable working with internal as well as external DAM and infrastructure support to solve technical issues or request improvements
  • COVID vaccination will be required for this position unless candidate has a legally valid exemption
