Our vision is a world free of preventable disease, in which everyone everywhere can reach their full potential. We were founded in 2002 with a £20m grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and started life at Imperial College London as the Schistosomiasis Control Initiative. Consistently ranked globally as one of the most cost-effective non-profit initiatives.
In 2019 we became an independent organisation, and the SCI Foundation (SCIF) now works across multiple sectors in several countries in sub-Saharan Africa to deliver effective and robust health programmes that have a lasting impact.
The role
SCIF is investing in a digital asset management system to enable staff to use its growing number of visual assets. These mainly comprise photographs but also include raw footage, branding assets, edited videos and consent forms.
SCIF seeks a Freelance Digital Asset Management System Consultant to source a suitable digital asset management (DAM) system and migrate these assets to it. Working with the comms team, you will curate the assets and provide guidance and training on how to access and use them appropriately.

- have an expert working knowledge of digital asset management systems
- apply hands-on expertise to accurately catalogue a wide array of digital assets and associated information
- demonstrate knowledge of photography and editing technology
- possess competence in producing metadata,taxonomy and keywording
- ensure brand consistency, compliance and copyrights are followed
- plan, budget for and execute a methodological project framework within the specified timeframe
