GENERAL PURPOSE:
The DAM Solutions engineer is responsible for the engineering customization and ongoing enhancement implementations for our Digital Asset Management (DAM) platform and custom solutions. This role will report to the Technical Manager on the End User Productivity Digital team. They will work with multiple technical teams, such as architecture, security and business analysts. In addition, they will interface with business departments, such as Merchants and Marketing.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
People
The DAM Solutions engineer is responsible for the engineering customization and ongoing enhancement implementations for our Digital Asset Management (DAM) platform and custom solutions. This role will report to the Technical Manager on the End User Productivity Digital team. They will work with multiple technical teams, such as architecture, security and business analysts. In addition, they will interface with business departments, such as Merchants and Marketing.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Drive technical priorities and owns delivery responsibility for DAM platform and solutions
- Coordinate cross team dependencies and collaborates between various groups to design solutions and resolve technical issues
- Establish naming convention and metadata taxonomy
- Design imaging workflow for high volume digitization project in high volume production environments
- Provide hands-on aid with complex technical solutions
- Establish workflow protocols that improve image quality and increase productivity of teams working with digital assets
- Engage with business and other technical stakeholders (operations, enterprise architecture, etc.) as necessary to manage technical requirements; helps estimation of costs and effort of work items
- Commit to achievable and realistic goals and includes required stakeholders in the estimation / planning process to obtain diverse perspectives
- Lead the technical design of the product or platform and ensure that the prescribed architecture, security, development best practices
- Manage Asset traffic control; understands image quality control and databasing
- Provide level 3 escalation support for overall DAM platform

- Bachelor's degree in any engineering or imaging/arts technology OR 5-7 years of software development experience with digital asset management tools
- Extensive hands-on experience with the Digital Asset Management technologies
- Ability to analyze and solve complex problems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention and orientation toward meticulous work
- 5+ years of experience as a Technical Architect/Engineer for Digital Asset Management Solution
- Deep understanding of cloud based Digital Asset Management tools, preferably Bynder or Adobe
- Experience building Media management workflows and developing custom use cases
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, preferably Marketing
- Understanding of how OTMM integrates with other enterprise production and systems
