Leggett & Platt Expired
Carthage, MO, USA

We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Digital Content Librarian within our Marketing + Creative team to help support our businesses.  As a global-diversified manufacturing company, it’s sometimes hard to explain all the different things we do.  We like to say, “we’re the biggest company no one has ever heard of.”  We are confident you interact with one of our products in your daily life without knowing it.  Whether it’s the mattress you sleep on, the car you drive, the plane you fly on, or the furniture you sit on, our high-quality components are there supporting you.

As a Digital Content Librarian, you’ll help manage a growing number of digital assets including images, icons, PDFs, video, and 3D, as well as digitizing historically relevant content. You will tag, organize, curate, manage, maintain, and secure assets in the digital asset management (DAM) system so assets can be easily searched and found within the system. The ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge of digital asset library management and effectively collaborate with many groups within Leggett, regularly supplying content for various users across different levels of the company. You will also help with general user support, troubleshooting, site analysis, and system audits.

So, what will you be doing as a Digital Content Librarian?

  • Properly organize assets within the DAM, acting as a gatekeeper between content creation and content publishing to ensure high standards of metadata and organization are met and enforced with every asset
  • Assigning taxonomy and metadata to existing digital content – data entry per set guidelines
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of asset metadata models incorporating industry standards and Leggett’s unique requirements
  • Curate collections of assets with subject matter experts
  • Maintaining taxonomy/metadata master documentation
  • Maintain any associated digital asset legal documentation
  • Review/edit taxonomy and metadata as language changes
  • Maintain separate collections and permissions based on group access to be granted
  • Assist with roll-out of new DAM platform: helping with permissions, user accounts, and maintaining site performance
  • Monitor, report, and analyze content statistics
  • Schedule and assist with DAM user training for different audiences, both internal and external to Leggett
  • Scan and add historical documentation to the DAM for research/reference
  • Assist in connecting DAM content with PIM content for digital uses, providing support to IT and others
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • Outstanding attention to detail and commitment to excellence
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with masterful knowledge of English language
  • Ability to collaborate extensively with creative designers
  • Cataloging, metadata schema, and taxonomy management experience
  • Understanding of digital right management concepts
  • Hands-on technical experience with library, content management systems, or large searchable databases
  • Knowledge and understanding of various file types of digital content
  • Innate curiosity in emerging technology, productivity, creative process automation, and creative workflows
  • Ability to work independently
  • A passion about information and excel at data entry, research, and investigation
Things we consider a plus:

  • Knowledge of web asset types and specifications
  • Degree in Library Science, Communications, or Information Studies desirable, or equivalent education and/or 2+ years of experience in related field
  • General knowledge in Adobe Creative Cloud products
