The Digital Asset Specialist is who ALDI turns to for all digital matters. Not only will you oversee the day-to-day operations of our digital projects & assets, but you will also consult leaders, make recommendations, analyze and advise on marketing campaigns & so much more. This is the perfect role for a creative communicator looking to develop into a leader.
As part of our National Customer Interaction Services team, your goal is customer satisfaction. This exciting new role will connect you with a variety of different internal and external teams as you help guide the development of our Digital Asset Management system.  This hands-on position includes DAM structure and organization, metadata implementation and archival procedures with the opportunity to interact with our team on a global level. This role is eligible to participate in ALDI’s Hybrid Work Program, which allows remote work up to 2 days per week (i.e., work remotely up to 2 days per week; work in-office at least 3 days per week)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides consulting to direct leader for further development of Customer Interaction strategy.
  • Collaborates with external and internal stakeholders to identify new areas of opportunity.
  • Makes recommendations to video, photography, and marketing departments on processes to develop and improve the digital asset management system.
  • Recommends process improvements for area of responsibility.
  • Analyzes existing marketing campaign, agency partner/ third party and other Customer Interaction procedures continually, with the objective of driving simplicity and effectiveness.
  • Uses internal and external digital, media and communications data to provide recommendations for action in assigned area of responsibility.
  • Manages projects pertaining to agency partner relations, market research, analytics, digital media, marketing campaigns and content.
  • Serves as a resource, providing cross-functional support to teams in the Customer Interaction department.
  • Stays up to date on news and trends in assigned area of responsibility.
  • Administers the day-to-day operations of a global enterprise-level Digital Asset Management system including developing workflows for asset ingestion, categorizing, permissions management, version control, delivery and archival.
  • Onboards new users to the DAM and advise current users on best practices.
  • Supports internal and external teams with time-sensitive digital asset requests.
  • Coordinates teams to build infrastructure to address digital asset needs.
  • Collaborates with team members and communicates relevant information to leadership.
  • Upholds the security and confidentiality of documents and data within area of responsibility.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a related field required.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in a digital asset management environment including cataloging, taxonomies and metadata implementation required.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite on a production level required.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager as a data management system required.
  • Solid understanding of file transfer platforms including Box.com, WeTransfer and other various third-party vendors required.
  • Or, a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
