The Digital Asset Manager will administer, maintain, and manage our Digital Asset Management (DAM) system. This includes day-to-day maintenance of the system including account management, asset management, taxonomy management, and workflow management. This is a hands-on role responsible for both the system and executional work.

The Digital Asset Manager will define, drive, and execute the technology strategy of the Digital Asset Management system, in partnership with business leaders and key stakeholders across multiple business lines.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administer the day-to-day operations of the Digital Asset Management system
  • Define, implement, and manage the full life cycle, archival, and distribution of all digital assets.
  • Define, implement, and manage metadata schemas, taxonomies, and user groups.
  • Develop efficient workflows for asset ingestion, categorization, permissions management, version control, delivery, and expiration to internal and external users
  • Establish and maintain file-naming conventions and metadata standards across multiple digital asset categories
  • Own the ongoing ingestion, organization, and maintenance of the DAM, ensuring that duplicate, non-compliant, and obsolete files are deprecated in a timely manner
  • Support internal and external teams with critical and time-sensitive digital asset acquisition requests
  • Administer and manage internal user account creation, permissions, and perform routine user audits to ensure all users follow internal compliance measures
  • Train and onboard new users to the DAM system and assist with questions from existing users including the ongoing creation of knowledge base articles to develop content for end user self-service where possible
  • Manage relevant DAM vendors and suppliers
  • Manage and maintain the production and brand team’s systems and technical infrastructure. Includes system(s) stability, security and permissions, backups, automation workflows, upgrades, troubleshooting, and infrastructure planning
  • Maintain integrations between the DAM systems and other internal and external systems
  • Manage and execute a steady stream of communication to DAM departments leads within the organization ensuring weekly content migration and uploading for all relevant and required digital assets across the enterprise. This includes regular follow-up and constant communication with stakeholders in the firm
  • Execution, coordination, and organization of all asset photography (new and existing) and may include video production
  • Working closely with the Marketing, Creative, and Communications teams on a daily basis
Project Delivery

  • Oversee the development of business cases, user requirements, and project charters
  • Create and manage processes for testing, release management, and change control
  • Manage communications with stakeholders, project team, and business and IT management
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 3+ years of Digital Asset Management systems experience
  • 5 years in a role within or working closely with Marketing, Creative, and Communications teams
  • Experience and clear understanding of metadata schemas and taxonomy development, file-naming conventions, database reporting, DAM governance, and rights management
  • Deep knowledge of image, video, and audio encoding formats and industry best practices
  • Deep experience and understanding of Bynder Digital Asset Management
  • Clear understanding of file conversions and Dynamic Asset Transformations (DAT)
  • Great verbal and written communication skills with experience working across multiple teams
  • Experience in Jira and ASANA for product/project management
  • Photography and video production experience a plus
