Topco Associates is currently seeking a Content Specialist for the Brand & Marketing team located in Itasca, IL. This position will be a hybrid role, with the successful candidate conducting work in our Itasca office three days per week and virtually two days per week.

We are looking for a Content Specialist to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to work across various marketing disciplines. The Specialist will play a crucial role in curating and distributing content that aligns with broader Integrated Marketing goals. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Digital Marketing, this position encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, making it an excellent opportunity for a candidate with diverse skills who is passionate about optimizing shopper awareness and engagement through compelling content creation.

Responsibilities

  • Organize, develop, and manage content across all digital channels, including website, social media, email, paid advertising, and the Digital Asset Management (DAM) system. Ensure content is up-to-date, relevant, and consistent, with a focus on maintaining a curated and high-quality portfolio website. Leverage the DAM system to streamline content management and distribution across various platforms.
  • Research and identify relevant topics and keywords based on audience needs and SEO best practices.
  • Write high-quality content for various formats (blog posts, articles, social media captions, email copy, ad copy).
  • Optimize content for search engines and engagement.
  • Track and analyze content performance and make data-driven recommendations for improvement of content strategies.
  • Assist the Brand team with developing content that aligns with brand voice, values, and messaging.
  • Contribute to the creation of brand style guides and tone of voice documents.
  • Support the Brand team with writing product descriptions, website copy, and other promotional materials for the e-commerce.
  • Collaborate on a range of social-related activities, including executing the Integrated Marketing content plan across all marketing channels. This may also encompass assisting with ad-hoc projects and tasks, such as organizing promotional giveaway initiatives and other social marketing needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field (preferred but not required)

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in writing for SEO and understanding the technologies that drive and support it.
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS) and digital asset management (DAM) systems is a plus.
  • Strong writing and editing skills.
Previous Experience:

3+ years of experience in content marketing, social media marketing, or a related field

  • Demonstrate agility in adjusting to shifting priorities and a willingness to embrace new challenges and opportunities.
  • Strong project management, organization, detail-orientation, and multitasking.
  • Creativity and curiosity to ideate, plan, and manage engaging content.
  • Understand trends in digital marketing and social media, ability to identify and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Strong analytical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret data and trends to optimize content performance.
  • Demonstrated experience creating various types of content throughout the customer journey.
