Content Marketing Manager

Job Summary

In this role you will be responsible for creating engaging and persuasive asset content of varying types as well as crafting digital-based copy, ensuring it is optimized for search engines and drives organic traffic. Your primary goal will be to craft compelling content that captures the attention of our target audience for marketing and brandrelated initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop highquality, easily scannable, SEOfriendly content for our website, including landing pages, asset and product descriptions and other web copy to drive traffic and engagement
  • Write and edit an array of externally facing short and longform content assets, including but not limited to:
    • White papers
    • Ebooks
    • Product data sheets
    • Case studies
    • Solution briefs
Infographics

Create communication materials based on provided storylines, messaging and stakeholder guidance, including but not limited to:

  • Banner text
  • Display ads
  • Promotional emails and campaigns
Video scripts

  • Use content briefs and templates effectively, following brand, editorial and other content governance guidelines
  • Work with content input documents such as corporate and solution messaging, audience and persona information, buyer’s journey and interaction details, marketing plans and technology/industry trend information
  • Optimize digital copy by strategically placing identified SEO keywords in titles, headings, meta descriptions, and content to improve search engine visibility
  • Enhance user experience: Write compelling and persuasive copy that engages and converts website visitors while also ensuring a positive user experience
  • Collaborate with team: Work closely with stakeholders, subject matter experts, designers, and the digital marketing team to ensure content aligns with the overall brand and marketing strategy
Content Creation/Management

  • Gather and synthesize information to be used in original content
  • Use AI tool(s) to assist in content ideation and creation
  • Manage thirdparty agencies as needed, ensuring all copy and content align with our brand, messaging, and guidelines
  • Manage content creation and publication within our DAM and workflow management tools to keep projects on track and on time
Stakeholder Management and Communication

  • Build relationships with project team members, including graphic designers, proofreaders, fellow writers, stakeholders and project managers
  • Schedule meetings with internal and external stakeholders as needed
Qualifications

  • Experience working as an inhouse, agency or freelance copywriter for B2B marketing
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for grammar, spelling and punctuation—demonstrated in a professional portfolio
  • Web copywriting, preferably with a focus on SEO optimization
  • Experience writing about industry topics including Cloud/SaaS, AI, Networking, and/or Colocation
  • Experience using AI tools such as Writer or Jasper for content creation
  • Strong understanding of SEO principles, keyword research, onpage optimization and SEO tools
  • Ability to craft engaging and persuasive copy that resonates with the target technology audience and drives conversions
  • Critical thinking skills to review copy with an eye to brand, messaging and guideline adherence
  • Comfortable working in a fastpaced matrixed organization with changing priorities and tight deadlines
  • Collaboration: Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with global, crossfunctional teams
  • Experience in AEM, Workfront, Smartsheet and/or Jira. Familiarity with AP Style and/or inhouse style guides
  • Bachelor’s degree in writing, journalism, English or related field
