Associate Product Owner - Digital Asset Management

As an Associate Product Owner, you will be responsible for the daily operation and health of the corporate digital asset management system, ensuring optimal service to Marketing, Sales, other winery departments, and external users.  You will participate in growing the capabilities of Gallo’s enterprise DAM system.

Telecommunicating for this role is an option with the following requirements:

  • 125 mile commutable distance to Modesto, CA
  • Will need to come in the office for required in-person meetings.  A few times a month
What You Will Do:

  • Provides day to day and long-range management of the Digitial Asset Management (DAM) tool, also knwon as Gallo Content Hub.
  • Monitors usage of platforms and works closely with internal and external service partners to ensure daily effectiveness of the system for end users and works with support teams to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Provides insights and consultation to internal and external users for new digital asset management strategies and enhancements to support profitable Sales and Marketing programs.
  • Partcipates as DAM Product Owner in Content Delivery agile meetings.
  • Manages priotization of DAM projects and feature requests with leadership from Sales, Marketing and Community of Practice contributors.  Monitors and updates the product back log.
  • Owns and drives timely execution of key milestone growth product initiatives within the product roadmap.  Tracks and monitors progress and works to remove barriers.  Reports out to leadership and cross functonal partners on these initiatives.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to document requirements, use cases, supporting business value and product acceptance criteria utilzes and synthesizes multiple sources of data (DAM analytics, insights reports, industry trend reports, etc.) to make recommendations to influence the product roadmap.
  • Collaborates with external vendors, IT Teams, marketing, sales, and other stakeholders to drive ad hoc cross-functional success - including leading discovery and brainstorming sessions.
  • Functions as the primary point of contract with IT, corporate teams, and vendors to manage user permission model, troubleshoot and resolve related issues.
  • Understands the integration between the DAM and both upstream and downstream systems and how data and assets are flowing between such systems, including websites, Product Information Management (PIM) system, syndication to distributors, retailers, and printed catalogs
What You Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree, plus 5 years of communications, marketing, supply chain/supply planning, process development, project management, business systems analysis, or Gallo Sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Master’s degree plus 3 years of communications, marketing, supply chain/supply planning, process development, project management, business systems analysis, or Gallo Sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate, plus 9 years of communications, marketing, supply chain/supply planning, project management, business systems analysis, or Gallo Sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Skilled in quickly learning and becoming proficient in technical systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize numerous projects with firm deadlines.
  • Experience managing or using systems geared towards branded digital assets.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and build relationships with multiple teams.
  • Skilled at handling difficult communication situations with executives, partners, and teams.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies.
  • Experience with marketing, marketing communications, or other content creation processes.
  • Computer skill requirements include Intermediate skills in Microsoft applications.
What Will Set You Apart:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Computer Science, or Business plus 8 years of experience updating or administrating websites with a content management system.
  • Masters’ degree in related field
  • Tangible IT or web content systems experience in CPG or Retail.
  • Experience managing media in a DAM system and/or web content management system.
  • Experience using DAM to improve consumer experience, acting as an advocate, with an awareness of industry best practices and trends.
  • Experience in working in project management tools such as JIRA or ServiceNow and maintaining project backlogs, priorities, and schedules.
  • SEO knowledge and practice understanding.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with management, technical peers, and business stakeholders.
  • Passion for continuous improvement. Demonstrated background of delivering new ideas in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
  • Able to solve complex problems and take a new perspective on existing solutions.
  • Self-driven, high-initiative individual who leads by example and champions an ownership-mindset in the team but is willing to act when needed.
