About the role:

This is an exciting role for someone passionate about data, skilled at stakeholder management and building strong internal relationships. The Associate Digital Product Manager – Product Data supports the development and delivery of our Product Information Management (PIM) platform and the product data managed therein, ensuring product quality and alignment with our overall Abcam Digital vision & strategy. This role is more heavily focused on the development and delivery of requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Observe, learn about, and engage consumers and end users of the product
  • Create detailed requirements, use cases, guides, and diagrams for assigned requirements using product discovery techniques
  • From requirements, create actionable user stories for the development teams
  • Co-ordinate and lead technical refinement sessions with cross-functional teams
  • Run estimation sessions with engineers based on detailed user stories
  • Write and specify story acceptance criteria
  • Co-ordinate activity between cross-functional teams for their contribution to the delivery of features and functionality
  • Provide support to the relevant teams to ensure that correct data files are loaded and available
  • Engage with the technical lead on a daily basis and assist in removing impediments or blockers to their progress
  • Review, update and groom the backlog – present prioritization proposals to the DPM
  • Write test cases, prioritise, distribute test cases to testers & track progress
  • Own and present progress and tracking dashboard of sprints
  • Work with and prepare respective teams on impact assessment for deployment of features and functionality
  • Setup and lead selected scrum ceremonies e.g. retrospectives
  • Participate in relevant scrum ceremonies and help to continually improve the process
  • Use of relevant collaboration and workflow tools, e.g., Jira, Confluence, Miro, Gitlab to document, manage and deliver the requirements
Qualifications

Bachelor’s or First degree in Sciences or Humanities
