Call for Contributions – The DAM Manager’s Role


This month’s editorial topic is The DAM Manager’s Role.  From building a business case, procurement, strategy and implementation through to user onboarding, training, asset distribution, licensing and rights management, the DAM manager’s role is crucial in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of your organisation’s digital asset supply chain.  The DAM manager is required to wear many hats with a skillset that includes librarianship, cataloguing, archival and digital curation, governance and gatekeeping, metadata and taxonomy management, and more technical disciplines such as understanding numerous file and media formats, system configuration, integrations, analysis, troubleshooting and ongoing maintenance.
