Special Libraries Association DAM Section Inaugural Webinar – 12pm ET 15th July 2015


The Special Libraries Association (SLA) are holding an open meeting on 15th July at 12pm ET that will present their newly formed Digital Asset Management section, which is co-chaired by Deb Fanslow and John Horodyski:

This session will introduce DAM, its concepts and foundational elements. (The recording and PPT will be posted in our website after the meeting). Digital Asset Management (DAM) consists of the management tasks and technological functionality designed to enhance the inventory, control, and distribution of digital assets (rich media such as photographs, videos, graphics, logos, marketing collateral) surrounding the ingestion, annotation, cataloguing, storage, retrieval, and distribution of digital assets for use and reuse in marketing or business operations. By definition, a digital asset is any form of content or media that has been formatted into a binary source and includes the right to use it.” [Read More]
