This week’s highlighted opportunity is for a Taxonomy Strategist with streaming media service Netflix.  Operating out of Los Angeles, the successful applicant is expected to be at a senior level, with a proven track record in the field of building, developing and maintaining taxonomy and metadata schemas, and global cataloguing in high volume content scenarios.  Key duties will involve defining, improving, and maintaining taxonomies for movies, TV shows and games, performing audits and reporting on workflow productivity, establishing governance and maintenance frameworks, creating documentation, liaising with a variety of stakeholders, and generally acting as a taxonomy champion to increase awareness, efficiency and adoption.

As an Editorial Creative Taxonomy Strategist, you will work closely with the Product, Content and Marketing teams to define, develop, maintain and govern common taxonomies that will allow Netflix to maximize how we describe our titles to members and partners. You will also partner with Creative Operations, Platform Engineering, and Product Engineering to introduce user-focused, scalable solutions for applying metadata to creative assets.
