ChatGPT and Generative AI Not Replacing Copywriters…Yet
If you’ve recently used OpenAI’s ChatGPT, an AI-assisted text generation platform, you may have already realised its shortcomings, more specifically, the somewhat generic, cookie-cutter ‘flavour’ of the content that it generates. This recent article explores how ChatGPT, although initially impressive in its cohesiveness and breadth of ‘knowledge’, still requires the input of a human to add any kind of finesse. The article concludes that the tool is useful in accelerating and augmenting the writing process, but is not ready to replace human authors.

Acquia Enhances Digital Asset Management (DAM) System With New Integrations
DAM vendor Widen, acquired by Acquia back in 2021, have recently announced a number of enhancements and integrations for their DAM platform, now rebranded as ‘Acquia DAM’ (formerly called Widen Collective). The platform is now being promoted as a “foundational part of a DXP (digital experience platform)”, with new integrations that include Airtable, Asana, Google Sheets, HubSpot, Monday.com, Optimizely, Shopify, Slack, Smartsheet and Templafy.

Digital Asset Management software provider Bynder present a primer in writing a request for proposal (RFP) for those considering purchasing a DAM system. The article is fairly detailed, with a number of practical tips including identifying your needs in terms of the volume and type of assets you’ll need to manage, the scalability and flexibility required, the degree of integration your DAM system will need to achieve, and evaluating the running costs and support options.
