The VP, Digital Technology – Martech & Quality Engineering will spearhead our digital marketing technology initiatives for Signet as well as be responsible for our testing center of excellence. Reporting to the SVP, Head of Digital Technology, this senior leader will be responsible for a team of technologists who have responsibility for our core marketing systems including customer data platform (CDP), email service provider (ESP), and other relevant systems. This role will set the vision and own execution of our marketing technology stack that will enable exponential growth for our ecommerce business in the coming years. In addition, this leader will manage our agile testing, project testing, and e2e release testing practice that fall into our testing center of excellence (TCOE).

- Lead the overall management and optimization of our marketing technology stack, including the Customer Data Platform (CDP), Content Management System (CMS), Email Service Provider (ESP), Digital Asset Manager (DAM), and other related systems.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive technology roadmap that aligns with business objectives and marketing goals.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including marketing, IT, and data teams, to develop and implement a cohesive marketing technology strategy.
- Identify emerging technologies and trends to ensure the continuous evolution of our marketing technology capabilities
- Oversee the CDP, ensuring accurate and comprehensive customer data collection, segmentation, and activation.
- Implement strategies to enhance personalization, targeting, and campaign effectiveness through the effective use of customer data.
- Manage the ESP to ensure seamless execution of emails.
- Implement best practices for email deliverability, list segmentation, and A/B testing.
- Responsible for the planning, design, and execution of comprehensive test strategies to ensure product quality.
- Implement and maintain automated testing processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Improve automation leveraging a shift left mentality.
- Oversight of end to end release testing capabilities.
- Manage a high performing team. Support their professional growth. Provide day-to-day coaching for a team of 10-15 FTEs and 50+ contractors.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of marketing technology initiatives.
- Provide regular reports and insights to leadership on the performance and impact of marketing technology on business goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related experience
- Preferred Certifications: Master’s degree in Information Technology
- Proven experience in a senior marketing technology, digital/ecommerce engineering, and/or quality engineering role.
- Strong understanding of data-driven marketing, customer segmentation, and personalization strategies.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and drive cross-functional collaboration.
- In-depth knowledge of emerging marketing technologies and trends.
- Understanding of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and best practices, including experience with test automation and continuous integration processes.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
