Trade's Digital Publishing department is constantly seeking more efficient ways to help each Trade department optimize its creativity and efforts.

Scholastic Trade is looking for a Digital Workflow Manager to design, execute, and manage infrastructure and compliance measures for our digital asset management (DAM) system. This includes all digital assets such as images, videos, and audio used and prepared by the Production and broader Marketing team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects assigned by VP of Digital Operations.
  • Monitor and support standards, approaches, plans, policies, and procedures by performing regular audits of ongoing projects.
  • Assist in defining, implementing, and managing the full life-cycle, archival, and distribution of all digital assets.
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining file-naming conventions and metadata standards across multiple digital asset categories.
  • Perform quality reviews and deliver feedback to team as necessary
  • Assist with the development and distribution of pertinent communication.
  • Produce reports: examples – issue management, change management, or deliverable tracking.
  • Update the team on process changes as appropriate
  • Assist in training new employees as needed
  • Support internal and external teams with critical and time-sensitive digital asset acquisition requests.
  • Train and onboard new users to the DAM system and assist with questions from existing users.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of digital asset management experience working with an enterprise-level DAM system.
  • Knowledge with various DAM system. OpenText a plus.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Etc.)
  • Knowledge of image, video, and audio encoding formats and industry best practices.
  • Knowledge of platforms like Dropbox, Google Drive and project management tools like Workfront.
  • Great verbal and written communication skills with experience working across multiple teams and regions.
  • Can work independently but knows how to escalate in a solutions-oriented manner.
  • Experience educating non-technical stakeholders.
