As a critical member of the team, the Systems Analyst understands the value of data and establishes trust in the data and processes, to unlock untapped potential for the business and our people.
The Systems Analyst documents and shares across the team for a common and accurate understanding of the work and acceptance criteria for new tasks starting, tasks underway in implementation or test, and features released and in use. They work primarily through stories written in Jira, and supported with documentation in Confluence, but also through many other means of explanation, diagramming, documenting, and message exchange.
With a sophisticated knowledge of the DAM application platform, asset repository, and process flows, the Systems Analyst is a knowledge expert for the VDAM system, and a reference for developers and testers. Typical topics may touch upon application repository configuration of asset integrity rules, process workflows, taxonomy settings, asset attributes, integrations, testing, publication timings and rules, and operational support issues.

- Drives business analysis activities such as requirements elicitation, process definition, systems mapping, and functional test planning
- Acts as subject matter expert of business processes and systems flow within a functional area
- Assists in establishing strategic objectives and converting them into strategic themes
- Effectively communicates with a variety of stakeholders on business expectations and constraints.
- Writes epics and user stories in Jira with supporting design specifications in Confluence, working in consultation with the Product Manager and Solution Architect
- Elaborates and prioritizes requirements based on business and technical needs
- Actively participates in testing phases throughout the project and support phases
- Evaluates and prioritizes epics in planning with Product Management team with a clear understanding of delivering business value
- Acts as technical expert and liaison between architects, engineers, product managers, and stakeholders
- Influences, supports, and provides guidance to all work streams
- Understands and shares business needs around product merchandising and planning, location creation and maintenance, and vendor factory setup and relationships, and translates to functional and technical requirements
- Facilitates workshops and design sessions in collaboration with Product Management, project managers, and technical leads to test objectives, feasibility, scope and priority of roadmap items.
- 4+ years of experience as a business or systems analyst, preferably including master data, asset management domains
- 4+ years comprehensive experience in a software systems analyst or engineering role, preferably including design and development
- 2+ years of experience working with Agile, Scrum, preferably with SAFe
- Proven Business Analysis experience providing technical requirements for medium to large initiatives
- Clear communications both written and verbally
- Proficient at requirement gathering, managing ambiguity, driving a project from inception to delivery
- Proven experience with DAM applications, preferably with Nuxeo
- Proven experience with data governance
- Experience with developing process and data flow models
- Experience using MS Office, Visio, Jira, Confluence, and similar tools to document, illustrate and share ideas, process specifications, data dictionaries, and interface design specifications
- Experience with SQL preferred.
