The Senior Creative Director is a part of the Global Brands department. This role reports to the Vice President of Global Brands and Creative and supports the leadership, culture, and overall creative direction of our globally recognized brands. This role will lead our in-house studio of conceptual designers, digital and UX/UI designers, and video teams. This will be a key leadership role working with several teams in continuing to elevate our brands and enhance our marketing campaigns to drive high-awareness and conversion, ultimately building equity back to our brands. This leader should be a people-first leader with a track record of building teams. They are expected to mentor, lead, and manage the creative department as well as external service providers.

He/she will utilize best-in-class insights to develop award-winning concepts, exceptional designs, developing inspirational videos, activation asset suite – online and offline, and oversee all execution with professional yet critical creative guidance. The Senior Creative Director should be a source of inspiration for the team and must be a highly organized manager, strategic delegator, problem solver, originator of creative process, and a trusted partner to various business partners and Brand Management leaders. A strong team leader, our Senior Creative Director is a critical player in bringing operational and financial efficiencies for the overall creative team. Above and beyond delivering a highly creative solution to complex business problems, our Senior Creative Director understands the importance of tight deadlines, response time, on-budget deliveries, Brand Impact KPIs, and has the ability to operate with an agency mindset in a corporate environment. Success will require an imagination, passion for the work, and high energy.

Previous experience leading large team over creative, UX/UI, innovation, mobile, experiential, print and video is a must. How You'll Shine:

  • Lead the conceptualization, creation, and oversight of top-tier creative assets, including video, design, UI/UX, HTML development, and motion graphics, spanning various brands and channels such as web, mobile, immersive physical spaces, print, video, social, and display. (30% of time)
  • Strong mix of creative and operations, proven ability to lead creative across multiple product teams and expand portfolio
  • Brand advertising and storytelling expertise – proven experience across all channels, web, email, display, Search, Social, video, print, etc.
  • Translate marketing and business objectives into creative strategies – and the ability to communicate and sell to the business at large
  • Develop innovative and actionable creative initiatives in a fiscally responsible manner.
  • Present, or oversee presentation of final concepts, and obtain approvals for deliverables
  • Proven leadership experience to grow and lead a team of design talent (50% of time)
  • Ability to influence culture. A strong mentor and collaborator across disciplines
  • Lead and direct creative teams from concept to completion
  • Develop, lead and inspire the creative team, each responsible for defining and delivering end-to-end experiences
  • Create and foster career development and growth paths for team members in alignment with company, design/product and personal objectives
  • Create clear and measurable goals and objectives for the team related to the creation of design, high-quality interactions that support critical business objectives, and partnership with cross-functional teams
  • Attract, develop, and retain top Visual/Graphic/Video design, IA, UX talent
  • Executive Stakeholder Management (10% of time)
  • Lead teams in partnering with key business stakeholders and strategy team members to develop clear insights, designs, and research and present to senior management the information necessary to make informed approval, prioritization and tradeoff decisions
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key business owners and senior management
  • Lead Design/Experience efforts in developing and implementing scalable processes and/or tools to enable functional productivity
  • Communication, planning, estimation, issue management and resolution for highly complex multi-discipline projects  (10% of time)
  • Develop needs assessment, scope of projects and cost models for creative services in partnership with Digital Team
  • Coach designers and provide all assessments of the business implications of changes to project scope, timeline, or resources
  • Raise awareness of team’s plans, insights and accomplishments in order to facilitate cooperation across departments and to build a highly performing, highly motivated team
  • Assist direct reports with ongoing prioritization and resource allocation to ensure that the crucial business initiatives are delivered
Travel Requirements

Limited travel required. Approximately 15% of time

What You'll Bring:

  • BS/BA degree required, Graduate studies preferred; Degree in design-related discipline: Interaction, Information or Interface design; Design Planning; Graphic Design; Journalism, English or Communications; Marketing
  • Understanding and past experience creating integrated content across all marketing channels from digital, social media, video, experiential, mobile, and print
  • Solid verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to all levels throughout organization
  • Knowledge of marketing, all forms of advertising, and digital experiences, with proven conceptual and design abilities
  • Must be well-versed in user-centered design methods and techniques
  • Must possess a deep understanding in related creative tracks
  • Proven client-facing role experience working with teams on large scale, long-term projects
  • Prior experience managing direct reports
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills
  • Ability to gracefully handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Passionate attitude with willingness and enthusiasm to own your own growth
  • Proficient to expert in: Adobe Creative Cloud, Sketch, InDesign, Visio, Microsoft Office, etc.
  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro
  • Knowledge of motion graphics and animation tools like Adobe After Effects
  • Mastery of graphic design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Understanding of design principles, typography, and branding
  • Advanced skills in creating visually appealing motion graphics and animations
  • Proficiency in tools like Adobe After Effects for dynamic visual content
  • HTML and CSS coding skills for email development. Knowledge of responsive design techniques to ensure compatibility across various email clients
  • Basic understanding of coding languages like JavaScript, especially for interactive elements in digital content
  • Understanding of UI/UX principles for creating engaging and user-friendly digital experiences
  • Proficiency in tools like Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD
  • Understanding of DAM systems for efficient storage and retrieval of multimedia assets
  • 8-10 years relevant professional experience required
  • 8-10 years experience in one or more of the following areas: creative design, user experience
  • 12+ years of industry experience in a well-established, creative role with a proven track record of agency success
  • Hospitality/travel experience is a plus
