We are seeking a Sr. Digital Asset Manager, Production Asset Management to join our Global Asset Management & Delivery team in PV Marketing Creative Production & Operations. In this role you’ll partner with asset managers, production teams, external stakeholders, and engineering teams to support the production asset management needs of our biggest titles. You’ll help scope and support tools and processes that drive a rich media pipeline for PV’s growing slate of the world’s best content. You’ll strategize, think big, and help define new ways of managing assets from capture through the creative process.

You’ll set the standard for production related asset workflows and metadata practices, and will help define and deploy secure processes for RAW and WIP asset management. You’ll ensure that creative teams have frictionless access to the assets they need, and will provide asset management governance and support from asset capture to ingest. As an excellent multi-tasker, you’ll manage projects with multiple deliverables and ensure deadlines are met across teams and key global stakeholders. You may also have cross-functional responsibilities such as product ownership of asset management tools and workflows, administration of access and permissions, and working with product management on a backlog of optimizations. Key job responsibilities

  • Managing assets for our most complex campaigns across multiple genres
  • Onboarding agencies to use Prime Video Marketing standards and tools
  • Providing vendors and partners access to RAW content
  • Training asset managers and partners on Asset Management best practices
  • Implementing up-to-date rules and practices related to content security
  • Improving various MAM/DAM systems
  • Setting up WIP workflow automations, as applicable to the title
  • QCing, ingesting, and releasing assets to the Prime Video Marketing finals archive DAM
  • Downloading/prepping links for leadership
  • VAM metadata localization, metadata/avails submission, asset delivery into the Prime Video Catalog and working with Content Ops closely to resolve issues and ensure quality control
  • Curating collections of final assets to global marketing partners
  • Handling and resolving final asset search requests
  • Sourcing 3P assets for licensed titles
  • Managing internal user account creation and permissions, and performing routine user audits to ensure all users follow internal compliance measures
  • Training and onboarding new users to the DAM system and assist with questions from existing users
  • Partnering with post-production teams to ingest digital media and related documents to the DAM
  • Developing and updating program documentation & wikis, and tracking mechanisms
  • Providing reports and inputs to senior management as needed
  • Supervision of vendors and staff

A day in the life

As Sr. Digital Asset Manager, you’ll lead our Production Asset Management practice, and delivering results for our biggest productions will be a central part of your work. You’ll perform deep analysis of our current processes and tools, and help design and implement improvements that will have broad impact on workflows and tooling functionalities for internal and external stakeholders. You’ll streamline current processes and provide governance related to asset access, sharing, and delivery from point of capture through work-in-progress to finalized marketing assets. You’ll provide thought-leadership about ways to address complicated media supply chain challenges, and your work will have broad, positive impact. You’ll provide governance and guidance related to security, best-practices, and standards, and will support a range of production staff.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years working in digital asset management or media engineering
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Working knowledge of metadata creation, management, and remediation best practices
  • Working knowledge of common media formats, standards, and best-practices
  • Experience with high-volume, high-velocity, large-scale file management (workflow orchestration, file-movement, permission management, etc.)
  • Experience working on or with large-scale, global creative marketing campaigns
  • Previous experience with metadata schema development & input, organizing a large amount of files, high-resolution file transmissions (FTP, servers, etc.), file naming conventions, and database reporting
  • Experience administering DAMs with an emphasis on managing creative marketing assets within other creative industries like advertising and entertainment marketing
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree or other advanced degree in Library Science, Film & Television Production, Engineering, or a related field
  • 8+ years working in digital asset management or media engineering in a media & entertainment context (Studio and/or Marketing support a plus)
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage trade-offs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, design, product, and marketing/studios counterparts to deliver products/services
  • Experience handling high risk content
  • Deep knowledge of video, audio, and image encoding formats and industry best practices
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven experience with MAM/DAM management, digital media workflow orchestration, and related tools/technologies
  • Experience supporting non-technical stakeholders and working across multiple teams and regions
  • Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
  • The ideal team member will have a background in Asset Management & media production, with technical competencies in media engineering.
