You work with passion and energy. The Digital Asset Specialist is detail oriented, able to work in a very fast paced environment, while maintaining rigorous standards. You have great knowledge of digital asset management (DAM) or records management. You are comfortable working with ambiguity, organizing information, and being a resource for DAM e-commerce workflows.

You are quick on your feet and a proactive self-starter. You’re able to juggle multiple priorities at once. You are a go-getter that recognizes where challenges exist and you don’t wait to be told to fix it, you proactively solve problems, and keep partners continually in the loop.

You're a highly collaborative team player who is always coming up with solutions. You love improving on process workflows and you’re always looking to do more in new and innovative ways while maintaining high standards of yourself. You can negotiate timelines to enable the delivery of assets through the correct omni-channels.

Comfortable working with metadata and schemas.

You’re comfortable working in a complex DAM eco-system that includes multiple systems. You have a general knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite and can easily navigate Mac OS.  Experience working with product information management (PIM) systems, project management, and or dynamic media systems is highly desirable.

Digital Asset Manager

Responsibilities

  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal partners and external vendors.
  • Manages the workflow of all product images and videos for website publication.
  • Traffics images from submission to publication on the PetSmart website.
  • Vets vendor product assets for image and video standards.
  • Responsible for identifying, organizing, and uploading for all product images to the DAM and Dynamic Media systems.
  • Verifies and attributes metadata to assets.
  • Assists Digital Asset Manager developing new asset management processes to increase efficiency.
  • Assists Digital Asset Manager with trainings for internal and external partners on DAM best practices.
  • Assists Digital Asset Manager in DAM projects as necessary.
  • Supports user questions and triages issues as needed.
Required Skills and Experience

  • 2+ years of working within a creative/photography department, or agency experience.
  • Degree in librarianship, informatics, data science or comparable experience.
  • Comfortable working with and implementing metadata standards and taxonomies.
  • Basic level of understanding of Mac OS, Adobe Creative Suite, and DAM systems.
  • Background in developing process improvements.
  • Experience in record management, digital asset management, or cataloging.
  • Experience with Canto Cloud, Adobe Dynamic Media Classic (Scene7), and Product Information Management systems a plus.
  • Experience working in a retail creative environment a plus.
  • Knowledge of the digital shelf and E-commerce a plus.Location:
