Senior Manager, Digital Content Platforms

The primary purpose of this role is to provide leadership and oversight to continuously deliver digital experiences across customer types. The customer types could include Patients and Caregivers, Healthcare Professionals, organized customers like Hospitals or Pharmacies, or internal Pfizer colleagues.

In addition, this role requires a deep understanding of digital content creation tools, asset management systems, and optimization techniques to ensure content is delivered efficiently and effectively across various digital channels.

Collaborating closely with other key cross-functional teams, this role helps translate business requirements into technical solutions, drives innovation through experimentation, and anticipates needs of marketers in content creation and management.

The quality of the engineering we use to build the solutions and the commercial success of the solutions delivered in this role are both crucial. This role will play a key part in influencing and shaping marketing technology solutions for Pfizer.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Subject Matter Expertise - General

  • Leads/ Co-Leads teams to ensure that all projects are delivered within scope, budget and schedule in accordance with Pfizer Digital Lifecycle processes. Liaise with stakeholders to manage and control changes to project parameters.
  • Works independently to review projects/programs against business case when completed to ensure projected benefits are being realized.
Content Creation and Production Management:

  • Coordinate the end-to-end process of digital content creation, including ideation, creation, editing, and publishing.
  • Lead/Co-lead a team of content delivery specialists to ensure timely delivery of high-quality content.
  • Implement workflows and processes to streamline content production and maximize resource efficiency.
Digital Asset Management:

  • Maintain a digital asset management system to organize, catalog, and store digital assets effectively.
  • Develop metadata schemas and taxonomy structures to facilitate easy retrieval and reuse of digital assets.
  • Monitor asset usage and permissions to ensure compliance with copyright and licensing requirements.
Content Optimization and Performance Analysis:

  • Implement best practices for content optimization, including SEO, accessibility, and localization considerations.
  • Analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) related to content engagement, reach, and conversion rates.
  • Generate reports and insights to evaluate content effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
Technology and Tools Management:

  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and tools related to digital content creation and asset management.
  • Support evaluation and recommendation of digital content management platforms, tools, and solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Be the technical owner of the Content Creation and Asset Management toolset.

  • Deliver and exceed on committed deliverables. Monitor performance and drive optimization: Establish meaningful metrics to measure the effectiveness of Content Creation and Management initiatives.
  • Monitor performance closely and identify opportunities for optimization and enhancement.
Strategic Leadership & Delivery

  • Apply advanced knowledge on PM practices to provide leadership and guidance on project planning, execution and implementation activities. Identify opportunities to implement industry best practices for effective project delivery.
  • Establish a robust decision-making model for selecting objective, optimal and prompt decisions for any issues raised.
Resource and Financial Management

  • Lead/Co-Lead operational project teams - people, technological and financial resources to budget.
  • Apply technical and line knowledge to drive technical delivery cost savings targets through effective project estimation, vendor selection and negotiation.
Cross- Team Collaboration

  • Establish stakeholder communication strategy using a variety of communication tools to ensure timely and effective communication on progress, risks/ mitigation and accomplishments.
  • Anticipate potential objections and manage conflicts and escalations by encouraging an open dialogue across teams.
Coaching and Mentorship

  • Develop ideas with the team to apply learnings and experiences across projects to minimize inefficiencies and build robust practices.
  • Guide and influence stakeholders on acceptable levels of risk-taking within the business unit.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Engineering or Technology Management preferred.
  • 7+ years of Project Management / Product owner experience, preferably in pharmaceutical industry.
  • High proficiency and proven successful delivery of experiences using Agile development, especially scaled agile and lean techniques and methodologies (Disciplined Agile, SAFe, etc.)
  • 3+ years of collaborating with and managing cross-functionals teams including business subject matter experts, technical experts and compliance teams for project execution
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated experience understanding business requirements, technical concepts and business processes.
  • Strong facilitation, influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Strong working knowledge on MS Tools – Project, Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
  • Experience in Marketing Technology tools such as Adobe Workfront, Adobe Experience Manager, Web Development tools, Campaign Management tools, and other SaaS tools
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master of Science degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Engineering or Technology Management.
  • Understanding of commercial business process.
  • Digital Content Creation Experience: Should have a strong understanding of the content lifecycle and the technology that supports it.
  • Content Strategy Development: Capability to develop and implement a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with the organization's goals, target audience, and brand identity.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), digital asset management (DAM) platforms and Marketing Workflow Management tools.
  • Creative Thinking and Problem-Solving skills: Ability to think creatively and innovate.  This includes staying updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing data and metrics in conjunction with sounds judgement to make critical decisions on behalf of the team.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: The landscape that this role operates in is very fast moving.  The ability to adapt is a key ask of the role.
  • Ability to work with others in a constructive and collaborative manner & influence others outside of the immediate span of control.
  • Project Management Professions (PMP) Certification.
  • Agile Certification
