The CX Product Information Web Integration Analyst is a subject matter expert in ensuring seamless connectivity and integration of USG product information across digital platforms. They lead efforts in web integration, data syndication, and mapping to ensure accurate and consistent product information flow. This role is pivotal in connecting internal and external systems, enhancing the digital customer experience, and maintaining the Product Information Management (PIM) and Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems as the single source of truth.

USG offers a hybrid workplace. The office location is Chicago, IL.

DEFINITION OF THE TEAM

The Product Data and Information Publishing / PIM team works in an agile environment, guided by a Product Owner and a Tech Lead. Each member of the team has a specific role to play, but they all share a common goal of delivering industry-leading digital solutions to our customers.

The Product Data and Information Publishing / PIM team is effective because of its ability to work collaboratively and take ownership of its deliverables. It operates within a product-platform model that emphasizes cross-functional collaboration and end-to-end ownership of deliverables. This model leverages the diverse skill sets of team members and fosters innovation, agility, and accountability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Product information owner: Serve as the subject matter expert for USG product information, ensuring data accuracy and consistency. Maintain and update the product hierarchy within the PIM system. Maintain and update the product asset hierarchy within the DAM system.
  • Web integration: Lead the integration of product information and assets with company websites and other digital platforms. Ensure seamless connectivity and accurate representation of product data, imagery and literature online.
  • Data syndication: Support the syndication of product information and assets to internal and external systems. Ensure timely and accurate data distribution to stakeholders, including marketing, sales, and external partners.
  • Data mapping: Develop and manage data mapping processes to ensure consistent and accurate data flow between systems. Work closely with IT and other departments to implement effective integration solutions.
  • Collaboration and coordination: Collaborate with IT, marketing, sales, and other departments to align product information strategies. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure understanding and adherence to data management practices.
  • Governance and compliance: Implement and enforce data governance frameworks and compliance standards. Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to data governance policies.
  • Continuous improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in web integration, data syndication, and mapping. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance the PIM and DAM systems and data workflows.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years in roles related to product information management, web integration, or data syndication.
  • Deep understanding of product information management (PIM) systems and best practices (e.g., managing product data lifecycle, implementing data governance policies, integrating PIM with other business systems).
  • Deep understanding of digital asset management (DAM) systems and best practices
  • Strong skills in web integration and ensuring seamless connectivity between digital platforms.
  • Familiarity with data syndication processes and tools.
  • Experience in data mapping and ensuring accurate data flow between systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to address integration and syndication issues.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including IT, marketing, and sales.
  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks and compliance standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with building materials product information requirements and standards.
  • Understanding of customer experience principles and how product information impacts customer satisfaction.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
