Overview
The Product Information and Digital Asset Manager will oversee the management and optimization of the company’s Product Information Management (PIM) and Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems, currently powered by inRiver. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate, consistent, and complete product data for a 10,000+ SKU catalog across multiple sales and marketing channels.
As the central point of contact for all product data processes, this individual will manage system configurations, integrations, and user training while driving process improvements, data governance, and user adoption. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, advanced Excel proficiency, and a technical aptitude for managing PIM/DAM tools and related systems.

Essential Responsibilities:
System Administration & Integration
- Serve as the primary administrator for the PIM/DAM system, managing user roles, permissions, workflows, and system configurations.
- Configure and maintain data models, workflows, and automated processes within the PIM/DAM system.
- Work closely with our head of governance and monitor all system integrations with ERP, ecommerce platforms, CRM, and marketing tools to ensure seamless data flow across the organization.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and work with inRiver or other vendors to resolve problems and perform updates or upgrades.
- Oversee updates to the PIM for attribute and imagery changes, ensure data is communicated to e-commerce partners, and collaborate with back office, QC, and marketing teams to develop an effective process for identifying and managing these updates.
- Act as the owner of the master product data store, maintaining accuracy, consistency, and completeness of all product data, including attributes, relationships, descriptions, and digital assets.
- Maintain data governance policies, including standards for data formatting, attribute management, and categorization.
- Conduct regular audits to monitor data quality and address inconsistencies or gaps proactively.
- Manage data enrichment processes, including keyword optimization, translations, and image/video tagging.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and improve workflows for data entry, enrichment, validation, and publishing.
- Leverage inRiver’s automation capabilities to reduce manual tasks and improve efficiency.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging PIM/DAM technologies to continuously enhance processes.
- Deliver training sessions to team members on how to use PIM/DAM systems, including basic functions and workflows.
- Create and update simple user guides, instructions, and training resources.
- Be the go-to person for user questions, providing support and troubleshooting common issues.
- Partner with Product Development, Merchandising, Marketing, Sales, and IT teams to ensure alignment on product data requirements and usage.
- Collaborate with the creative team to manage digital assets, including product images, videos, and other resources, within the DAM system.
- Work closely with ecommerce teams to optimize product information for digital channels, ensuring a high-quality customer experience.
- Manage and coordinate quarterly product launches by ensuring accurate data flow from D365 and Smartsheets into the PIM, conducting audits, collaborating with teams to address data gaps, and preparing products for e-commerce platforms including Field Sales Ecomm Accounts, JL.com, and Marketplace.
- Monitor and report on key metrics such as data completeness, system usage, product performance, and channel effectiveness.
- Utilize advanced Excel skills and tools like Tableau or Power BI to analyze data and provide actionable insights for stakeholders.
- Share regular updates with head of eCommerce on system performance, process improvements, and catalog trends.
Skills & Minimum Qualifications:

- 5+ years of experience managing PIM/DAM systems, preferably inRiver or similar platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a passion for process improvement and efficiency.
- (Preferred not required) Experience in the ecommerce or manufacturing industries.
- (Preferred, not required) Knowledge of product content syndication standards and global product data requirements (e.g., language translations, currency variations).
- (Preferred, not required) Familiarity with digital asset management, including image/video tagging and file organization.
- Highly organized and deadline-driven, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to ensure data accuracy and consistency across channels.
- Strong analytical skills to assist with troubleshoot issues and help make data-driven decisions.
- Experience with ecommerce platforms such as Magento, Shopify, Amazon, and their product content requirements.
- Familiarity with APIs, data integration workflows, and tools like ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics NAV).
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, and data analysis.
- Understanding of data management principles, data modeling, and data governance best practices.
