The Metadata Assistant is one of five staff in the Metadata unit. Their duties include creating and maintaining bibliographic and other records and managing sets of records for electronic resources, to enable library users to access library materials.
The Metadata Assistant is one of five staff in the Metadata unit. Their duties include creating and maintaining bibliographic and other records and managing sets of records for electronic resources, to enable library users to access library materials.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in metadata creation in various library standards and using a variety of library metadata tools and systems. They have excellent organization skills, attention to detail, and communication skills. A Library Technician diploma or equivalent is required for this position.
