Job Description:
Reporting to the Director, Global Digital Marketing Strategy & Marketing Technology, the Product Owner – Digital Asset Management (Global Digital Marketing & Marketing Technology Manager) will be responsible for the management of Marketing Technology (MarTech) products at Sun Life, with a focus on our Digital Asset Management systems.
The role will support and execute on the MarTech strategy, practice and roadmap for the organization to help drive business adoption and utilization, optimize processes and support model, manage the product strategy to help advance and accelerate Sun Life’s ability to be a leading digital company, deepen engagement with users and drive business outcomes. This role involves working closely with business and marketing stakeholders, IT partners, and digital teams globally. It requires a high degree of professionalism, strong attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively, be flexible and manage multiple priorities.

As product owner, you will be responsible for the following:
Strategic Leadership
- Own the vision and roadmap for our DAM systems, aligning with Sun Life's broader MarTech strategy
- Build strong relationships with global stakeholders, understanding their needs and translating them into actionable plans
- Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities to enhance our MarTech ecosystem
- Serve as the primary point of contact for DAM vendors, influencing their roadmap to align with our needs
- Develop and prioritize use cases, working with business teams and IT partners to deliver impactful solutions
- Oversee the full lifecycle of digital assets, from acquisition to protection
- Drive strategies that maximize the value of our assets, improving findability, reusability, and compliance
- Work closely with business, IT and finance teams on budgeting, licensing, and cost allocation
- Champion the use of DAM tools across the organization, providing training, resources and best practices on the effective use of the platforms/tools to drive adoption
- Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, balancing diverse needs and priorities, becoming a trusted advisor to users at all levels
- Monitor adoption, usage metrics and user feedback, continuously improving the product experience
- Lead a Community of Practice, fostering knowledge sharing and collaboration among power users
- Establish clear guidelines and best practices for DAM usage
- Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize workflows and processes
- Ensure compliance with security policies, usage rights, and data management regulations
- Proven experience in product management, preferably in MarTech or Digital Asset Management
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence without direct authority
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- A data-driven approach to decision making and problem-solving
- Passion for technology and its application in marketing and business contexts
- Desire to develop a clear understanding of business strategies and priorities.

- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Business, Marketing, Digital or a related field.
- 5 years digital marketing experience and experience working for a large financial services enterprise.
- Experience managing MarTech products and capabilities with proven success in driving adoption and utilization; experience working with Brand Management Tools and Digital Asset Management systems like Aprimo, Vidyard.
- Experience rolling out new platforms with proven ability to identify, document and disseminate new use cases.
- Solid understanding of digital technology and channels, best practices, and trends.
- Experience working with stakeholders and consulting on digital solutions to meet business needs/goals.
- Deep understanding of how to interpret data to identify opportunities, gaps and make key decisions; proficiency with digital analytics/reporting tools.
- Experience with both Agile and Waterfall project delivery methods.
- Advanced proficiency with standard business software.
- Able to accommodate early morning and late evening meetings occasionally to support business partners in Asia time zones
