Manager - AI Governance & Model Data Management

We are seeking a Manager with a strong knowhow of governance and data management strategies in the Artificial Intelligence domain. Along with our team, you'll work together to coordinate the delivery of risk management, regulatory and business performance services to a variety of clients, including commercial banks, investment banks, broker-dealers, asset managers, insurance and energy trading companies, and other organizations.

Your key responsibilities

The FSRM Manager – AI Governance and Model Data Management will be involved in all aspects of the delivery of financial risk services to consulting and assurance client accounts. The role will provide specialized services in advanced analytics for risk management.

You will develop materials, tools, and methodologies to support client delivery, thought leadership and go-to-market activities (including conferences, client proposals, targeted campaigns). You will actively participate in business development activities to identify, generate, and close new business opportunities.

You will be responsible for leading multiple client engagement teams, overseeing and managing the delivery team, and delivering high-quality services and deliverables to our clients based on industry leading practices, EY frameworks, and regulatory expectations for AI Governance and Model Data Management.

This role provides the unique opportunity to build a professional network, tackle complex governance and data issues, and provide thought leadership to shape the understanding and management of AI risk across industry leading clients and domains.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and ideally demonstrated knowledge in credit, market risk, model risk, and operational risk measurement and management
  • Self-motivated and willing to ask probing questions to identify client opportunities
  • Possess strong communication, presentation, and technical writing skills to describe ideas, concepts, and issues that involve interpretation, analysis, and assessment of complex conceptual topics
To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Quantitative graduate-level University degree in finance, computer science, information systems, mathematics engineering, or a related discipline required; Masters preferred
  • Strong experience working in development of data management and governance strategies
  • Experience working in advanced analytics ideally intersecting with financial services risk management
  • Experience working with data and performing related analysis including knowledge of programming languages such as Python, SAS, R, MATLAB.
  • Good understanding of concepts and frameworks pertaining to Data Management- Data Governance, Data Policy, Data Lineage, Data Quality, Data Risk and Control Frameworks, Data Literacy, Reference Data Management, Metadata Management
  • Demonstrated project or engagement management ability to plan and execute projects/engagements to a successful conclusion
  • Possess the desire and ability to work closely with quantitative and technology professionals on engagements
  • Possess a self-starting attitude, and ability to think outside the box and thrive on new challenges
  • Experience working in a banking environment with a well-developed risk management culture and infrastructure or comparable experience working as an advisor to financial services companies is an asset, similarly for CFA or FRM certifications
Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Prior consulting experience
  • Demonstrated history of driving revenue within existing clients and in developing new prospects
