ABOUT THE ROLE?
The Head of Enterprise Information Architecture, MDM and Data Analysis will lead the design and governance of information models, master data, transformation rules, metadata and data lineage across IT. You will need to establish and set information architecture practices wrt artefacts, processes and designs to ensure FAIR data across AZ as well as to ensure data is organized and structured so it is fit for purpose. This includes information architecture of both operational/transactional and analytical systems, minimizing the number of transformations across the estate. The team will work closely with Enterprise and Solution architects ensuring Information Architecture artefacts are incorporated into all architecture designs.
As part of the role you will also support and lead the design of reference and master DM solutions (both at domain and enterprise level), leading business case analysis and development. You will also oversee data analysis activities focused on profiling and understanding data to support Info Arch activities and engineering implementation. For all 3 areas (Info Arch, MDM and DA) you will lead the skills, enabling technology, play books and governance processes. Importantly you will develop career paths enabling Data Analysts to develop skills in Data Modelling through to full Information Architects. You will lead 30-50 Information architects, largely aligned to CFIT portfolios, setting ways of working and IA tooling as well as oversee the Enterprise Information Architecture Review Board for approval of all new IA designs.
As Head of the IA MDM DA team you will work closely with Enterprise/Solution Architecture (dotted line reporting) to ensure solution architecture are build with data centric mind set, integrating Info architecture designs into blueprints, enabling data re-use simple data designs. You will also work closely with business Data Offices partnering on data standards, ontologies, taxonomy, model designs tailored to support business outcome.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED?
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent number of years of experience in a Computer Science or Data Management related field
- Extensive experience and knowledge within domain
- Able to influence and deliver strategic vision, direction and planning
- The role holder will possess a blend of data architecture, analysis, and engineering skills
- Experience in known industry architectural patterns
- Understands cloud-based containerization strategies for hybrid cloud environments
- Understanding the appropriate data structure and technology based on business use case
- Experience in the use of data modeling technologies
- Experience in Agile data definition scrums
- Experience in the use of metadata cataloguing tools
