Job Description
This role focuses on the maintenance and implementation of the governance strategy for all digital media assets that are under the umbrella responsibility of the GMP team. The GMP Representative – MediaValet works closely with many teams across multiple business lines to ensure the integrity of applied metadata on assets intended for upload into the Digital Asset Management (DAM) platform. This role is also responsible for the application of security measures to ensure asset confidentiality.

This role focuses on the maintenance and implementation of the governance strategy for all digital media assets that are under the umbrella responsibility of the GMP team. The GMP Representative – MediaValet works closely with many teams across multiple business lines to ensure the integrity of applied metadata on assets intended for upload into the Digital Asset Management (DAM) platform. This role is also responsible for the application of security measures to ensure asset confidentiality.
Responsibilities include:
- Applies appropriate metadata to creative assets including but not limited to keywording, naming convention, tracking data related to usage rights, including custom attributes.
- Provides management over asset lifecycles.
- Manage from upload through sunset,
- Provide maintenance of the media on which assets reside. This will include but is not limited to maintaining storage hardware and digital cloud-based tools.
- Ensure assets of all types, including raw assets, are shepherded through their storage lifecycles.
- Provides search services to DAM system users. This includes keeping up to date on the tools, hardware, and media used in the DAM industry.
- Ensures that assets are preserved and accessible by the library user groups. This includes, but is not limited to, application of robust, searchable metadata and application of industry standard backup best practices.
- As needed and on a regular cadence, develops and delivers user training to ensure users understand the library tools employed and provision of user education about usage of filterable terms.
- Actively participates in all Agile ceremonies with team.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Demonstrated basic understanding of business process in general.

- Proven basic computer/digital knowledge aptitude and willingness to advance this aptitude.
- Ability to interact with customers, as directed, in a sensitive and diplomatic manner, maintaining positive relationships while gathering basic and intermediate requirements related to the customer needs and project work.

- Ability to coordinate with users experiencing platform issues and to address basic help tickets, always within the SLAs of the GMP Team
- Position has variable hybrid work hours that need to be adaptive for a given set of current business needs. Overall, the position requires 2-3 days per week onsite and “off-hours” two to three times per month to support Asia-park users.
- Position requires development and maintenance of in-person relationships with users of the BrimWorks Global Marketing Platform.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, but better-than-basic knowledge of using word processing software and mail software in general
- 3-5 years of working with a Digital Asset Management (DAM) or Media Asset Management (MAM) system (Pay will be commensurate with experience); or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Skills and previous experience needed include a strong understanding of asset lifecycles in a marketing and sales environment, postproduction workflow experience, metadata application workflows, knowledge of asset backup best practices, and DAM or MAM platform experience. Working experience in asset creation tools, such as Adobe CC programs, is a preference.

- Applicant must be experienced and comfortable working with creative assets, including, but not limited to, the following asset types: Audio, Video, Microsoft Office Documents of all types, and Photography (Raw, JPG, and Layered)
- Preferred bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience.
