We are therefore looking for a passionate Freelance/ Interim Assistant Digital Archivist to support the transformation of our historic collections. WHAT DOES THIS ROLE DO?
As a Freelance/ Interim Assistant Digital Archivist you will:
- Assist in organizing and digitizing our extensive brand archive, ensuring easy access for future use.
- Support the consolidation of physical collections from various sites across London.
- Work closely with our team to implement a modern Digital Asset Management (DAM) system.
- Ensure the secure and efficient movement of collections, adhering to best archival practices.
- Manage documentation, records, and metadata within a recognized Collections Management database.
- Oversee contractors and ensure smooth handling and relocation of archived materials.
- Collaborate with multiple stakeholders across different brands and departments.
- Maintain compliance with relevant archival and records management standards and regulations.
You will:
- Have previous experience in records management, museum curation, or archives administration.
- Have a good knowledge of archival best practices, data protection regulations, and records management standards.
- Have a diploma in Archives and Records Management or Archives Administration.
- Be able to assimilate information quickly and explain policy requirements to colleagues effectively
- Be familiar with MS Excel, SharePoint, Dropbox, and collections management databases.
- Be organized, meticulous, and committed to maintaining archival integrity.
- Be self-motivated, with the ability to take initiative and work autonomously.
- Be a Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work across departments.
- Be passionate About Heritage and Interested in brands, fashion, sports, and cultural history.
