We are in need of an eCommerce Content Creative Manager to lead across all business groups and brands to produce optimized product content to drive sales and conversion online. You will be responsible for ensuring content adheres to the brand’s positioning and guidelines, including language, copy, voice and tone as well as logo, color, typography and imagery usage.

This position requires a collaborative mindset, strong design skills, attention to detail, and a broad eCommerce/digital acumen. Must be able to effectively use your design expertise coupled with product knowledge to produce top-performing content with internal and external resources. An integral part of this position requires a great deal of problem solving and regular communication across multiple cross-functional teams and external partners. Must be able to juggle competing priorities, and manage a high project volume to effectively meet retailer demands and deadlines.

This role will report to the eCommerce Content & Marketing Director.

What you’ll do in this role:

  • Lead design and development projects and teams for product content including copywriting, images, enhanced content and video to support all business groups and brands across all eCommerce Retailer and Direct to Consumer touchpoints (Product Pages, Articles, Retailer Brand Stores, Landing Pages, Amazon Marketing, etc.);
  • Manage an internal team of content creators and project managers along with external agency partners for content development and production;
  • Be able to manage a large volume of projects and successfully juggle multiple priorities across varying product categories and retailers;
  • Be able to critically review all content and maintain a solid understanding of compliance requirements (legal, regulatory & retailer) and impacts to content design and messaging. Work closely with cross-functional partners (legal, regulatory, etc.) to manage reviews and approvals;
  • Be able to quickly understand and identify key features and benefits of products to produce compelling visuals and SEO optimized copy for selling online;
  • Evaluate and support continuous improvements for workflows, systems and processes in order to improve efficiencies;
  • Lead and plan photo and video shoots as needed;
  • Manage video production with internal and external resources, have an understanding of video production from storyboards through production;
  • Oversee internal product database/PIM and support digital asset management (DAM) and workflow platforms for content management;
  • Manage agency proposals, vendor contracts, budgets and reporting as needed.
  • Keep up with the latest trends, strategies, and technologies;
  • Additional responsibilities assigned as special needs may arise and should be considered as important as brand/business responsibilities noted above.
What you’ll need to be successful:

  • Degree in graphic design, visual communications or related field;
  • 7+ years of creative brand, digital design or agency experience;
  • Solid knowledge of marketing, brand, and design principles and development;
  • Must be very detail-oriented and have strong project management skills;
  • Have a creative passion for typography, layout, color and pixel perfect creative execution;
  • Experience leading and managing creative teams through multiple stages of creative development, production and distribution;
  • Strong concept and strategy design development skills;
  • Expert with digital and ecommerce marketing and product content;
  • Experience with managing photo and video shoots;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills;
  • Expertise with the Adobe Creative Suite of tools;
  • Demonstrated history of being a self-starter and working independently;
  • Demonstrated experience being able to successfully manage high volume projects under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with acute attention to detail and strong proofreading skills, an affinity for process is a plus!
  • Gardening enthusiasts are a huge plus (or quickly willing to get hands in the dirt!)
Some other nice to have’s:

  • Experience in eRetailer/Omni retailers (Amazon, Lowe’s, Walmart, etc.) or other CPG company preferred but not required;
  • Experience with illustration and video editing is a plus;
  • Editorial experience editing copy, familiarity with SEO best practices;  
  • Experience with eCommerce enhanced content syndication platforms (ex. Amazon Vendor Central, Syndigo CXH, etc.)
