Overview:
The Director, Digital Asset Management Systems will collaborate with multiple departments and regions to create the digital asset management strategy and vision for Clinique. This role will support Global Creative Operations in leading overall strategy, implementation, and workflow for Clinique Digital Asset Management (DAM) as well as provide detailed analytics to our senior management. They will have an in-depth understanding of workflow management and lead initiatives to grow the scope and capabilities of our DAM systems. This role relies on a strong understanding of data management best practices, reporting and analytics, and excellent leadership and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
The Director, Digital Asset Management Systems will collaborate with multiple departments and regions to create the digital asset management strategy and vision for Clinique. This role will support Global Creative Operations in leading overall strategy, implementation, and workflow for Clinique Digital Asset Management (DAM) as well as provide detailed analytics to our senior management. They will have an in-depth understanding of workflow management and lead initiatives to grow the scope and capabilities of our DAM systems. This role relies on a strong understanding of data management best practices, reporting and analytics, and excellent leadership and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategy associated with the cataloging, tagging (metadata schema & taxonomies), storage, retrieval, and distribution of Clinique’s creative digital assets
- Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, and key performance indicators related to DAM
- Collaborate across internal departments and regions in the development and modification of digital workflows to create efficiencies
- Oversee a team of digital asset administrators in the day to day operations of metadata application, rights management, permissioning, and proper distribution of global assets
- Perform quality control measures to ensure accurate usage rights, metadata, and data structure
- Work closely with the internal Creative Operations team to manage creative delivery schedule and time-sensitive trafficking to local affiliates
- Educate and facilitate proper usage of the DAM system across all departments and regions
- 7+ years of proven experience in Digital Asset Management systems for a large organization
- Graduate degree in Library and Information Sciences or equivalent
- Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) preferred
- Data-driven with experience with business analytics and dashboard reporting tools
- Experience driving large-scale programs end-to-end in collaboration with internal and external partners
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Superior organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong leadership and managerial skills
- Knowledge of wide-ranging file formats and specifications including still, video, social, and web content
- Able to quickly learn and adapt to new and evolving technology
- Knowledge and experience in Adobe Experience Manager Assets a plus
- Proficient in MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite including but not limited to Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere, and Media Encoder
