Job Description
As part of Intel's Digital, Scale and Insights (DSI) team, the Digital Taxonomist will lead efforts to develop, model and govern the taxonomy frameworks used to connect our marketing digital experiences (.com, social and media) and platforms, and the critical connections into sales functions. You will also work across our partner organizations (Sales, Partner, Developer and IT) to align taxonomies and nomenclature to ensure we are driving toward a cohesive customer experience and a connected set of data for insights and activation. To achieve this, you will seek a clear understanding of the business, a broader view of customer needs and best methods in the industry.
Your success is demonstrated when content is highly discoverable and relevant to our digital audiences, we can easily contextualize and personalize customer experiences cross-channel, and we can analyze and understand success with our customers along their journey to design win and/or purchase.

Responsibilities May include:
- Develop and maintain a common metadata information model and taxonomy for all Intel digital content and supporting key digital channels (Media, Social, Events, Marketing Automation)
- Partner across Marketing, Sales and IT to align taxonomies and data definitions for consistent usage and connected web experiences
- Working with stakeholders and DSI management, define enterprise taxonomy long-term vision, strategy and roadmap
- Develop standards, processes and best-practices for taxonomy modeling and management
- Coordinate with business and IT system owners to reconcile taxonomies and tagging structures across digital platforms
- Taxonomy design and modeling of taxonomies within Intel's ontology management system
- Lead and coordinate the governance process and maintain documentation and business reports
- Maintain the cross-system metadata information model
- Partner in the development of product- and experience-centric hierarchies for Intel Products
- Train internal users on taxonomy and its connection to the common metadata information model
- Ensure tagging structures follow usability best practice
- Drive taxonomy health assessment and maintenance procedures
- Provide requirements for and coordinate taxonomy deployment with IT partners
- Define and maintain business requirements and a backlog for IT execution

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field Library Information Science, Marketing, Information Systems or Information Technologies
- 3+ years of experience in developing and managing taxonomy frameworks and modeling data into structured taxonomies
- 2+ years of experience with Marketing and Web technologies, including Adobe Experience Manager or equivalent content management systems, Ontology management and data glossary solutions (such as Synaptica, Collibra), Tag management and data governance systems (Tealium, Claravine) and other publishing and digital asset management platforms.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Library and Information Science or equivalent preferred
- Deep understanding of digital marketing, the modern digital capabilities / technology stack, web content development processes and agile development
