JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for developing visually compelling and engaging digital content for various platforms, including social media, display advertising, web, multimedia, and video within pre-determined guidelines. This position requires a broad skill set, including experience in digital content creation, simple animation, photography, and a strong understanding of branding and marketing strategies. This position collaborates with the Art Director and the Marketing Team to deliver innovative designs that effectively communicate the College’s brand and marketing messages. It reports to the Art Director.

This position is responsible for developing visually compelling and engaging digital content for various platforms, including social media, display advertising, web, multimedia, and video within pre-determined guidelines. This position requires a broad skill set, including experience in digital content creation, simple animation, photography, and a strong understanding of branding and marketing strategies. This position collaborates with the Art Director and the Marketing Team to deliver innovative designs that effectively communicate the College’s brand and marketing messages. It reports to the Art Director.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Content planning; actively participate in team brainstorming sessions.
- Use Adobe Creative Suite software as well as web-based applications like Canva, to create concepts, solve problems and provide strong visual solutions for the College’s branding and marketing initiatives and various design-related projects.
- Assist with organization and management of the college’s Digital Asset Management (DAM) system.
- Prepare final files to meet specified requirements for electronic transmission to vendors.
- Collaborate with other members of the Marketing and Creative Services Team to develop campaigns for recruitment, retention and community awareness.
- Stay up to date with design trends, particularly in web display advertising and social media.
- Perform other duties as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM WORK:
- Associate Degree and two years related experience.
- Experience in the fundamentals of design and typography.
- Adept at using Adobe Creative Suite software, specifically InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Able to stay up to date on industry trends and research.
- Ability to problem solve and creatively strategize.
- Ability to complete tasks quickly and effectively in a fast-paced and changing field.
- Self-motivated with the ability to exhibit professional behavior at all times
- Ability to work independently or in a group.
- Experience with Canva and Media Valet.
