Summary:

The McCain Canada Retail Marketing Team is looking for a marketer with a passion for digital content optimization. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Digital Marketing & Ecommerce, the Digital Content Specialist is responsible for the management and maintenance of product and brand content to support and drive McCain’s online marketing ecosystem contributing to McCain’s overall brand image and ecommerce performance.

This role will play an important role in accelerating McCain’s digital agenda through collaboration with internal & external stakeholders to elevate digital asset management practices, to create and adapt product & brand content to fuel commerce sales through Retailer platforms, and to enable best in class digital experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversight & Management of McCain’s Digital Shelf Content
  • Lead the communication and production process for evolving retailer product description pages (PDPs), collaborating with agency partners and the Brand/Sales teams to improve on-site product content aligned to eCommerce best practices.
  • Manage McCain’s digital content agency effectively, leading weekly meetings and managing project timelines to ensure all product content is accurate and meets each Retailers & Platforms specific content requirements.
Manage McCain.ca Website Content

  • Manage McCain.ca, maintain a web content calendar, and develop and deploy content on an ongoing basis in collaboration with internal sales/marketing teams, functional teams (Legal, R&D) & external agencies.
  • Support execution of web development projects (site enhancements, landing pages, banners, creation of microsites etc.) overseeing the work of technical & agency partners.
  • Maintain product catalogue on website ensuring accuracy and timeliness of updates.
Analytics & Reporting

  • Perform analysis & present reports from digital analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Destini Locator & Profitero to Sales & Marketing teams (highlighting website & digital content performance and optimization opportunities).
Marketing Product Data Management

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as Brand Marketing Teams, to build processes around asset collection & management, ensuring master data is appropriately incorporated into product content.
  • Leverage and support the use of McCain’s internal Content & Product Data Management systems (PIM & DAM), liaise with Global team on evolving standards.
  • Elevate McCain’s Digital asset management practices by driving increased usage and growth of online assets available on The Common (DAM).
Key Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate Degree in business with a focus on marketing.
  • 2-5 years of CPG experience in marketing or sales; Co-op experience considered.
  • Proven understanding of Canadian CPG market; our customers and consumers.
  • Strong Communication skills, and experience managing external vendors and agency partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally within an organization.
  • Experience analyzing data/information with the ability to communicate recommendations succinctly Sales & Marketing Leadership
  • Passion for Marketing creative with knowledge of digital content & copywriting best practices.
  • Ability to work independently in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Possess a resourceful, creative, and hands-on approach to brand building and problem solving.
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with E-commerce, Product Information Management systems (Salsify/Syndigo) and Retailer media considered a plus.
