We are looking for a Digital Asset Specialist (Content Syndication and Enablement) to join our eCommerce and commercial team reporting to the Sr. Manager, B2B eCommerce.  The Digital Specialist will be responsible for managing and maintaining the Salsify catalog data and content for BioSteel products across eCommerce, retail and field sales channels.  This position is remote based with preferred locations of Toronto, New York, Dallas, Chicago, or Atlanta.

The Specialist will oversee catalog data and asset management, coordinate the content and assets for new products, keep existing products optimized, and execute syndication of content across retailer platforms such as Amazon Vendor/Seller Central, Walmart Retail Link, Target, Instacart, and more. This role is critical in supporting new product launches.  The Specialist will utilize technology platforms (Salsify) for catalog management and work cross-functionally with our marketing, eCommerce, Commercial, and Operations teams to ensure that all content is kept up to date, accurate, and meets industry best practices for Canada & the US markets.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support content operations of the BioSteel Product Catalog in the PIM (Salsify).  Be the power user In organizing content, product specs, copy and assets.
  • Oversight of Digital Catalog Data for key marketplaces and retailers, including coordination of content changes.
  • Syndicate product content across key retailer channels including but not limited to Amazon, Walmart, Target, Instacart, National and Regional retailer websites
  • Deploy and maintain brand store content and “A+” enhanced content, and brand.com website content.
  • Support PDP projects, including content optimizations, revamps, brand store pages, and enhanced (A+) content.
  • Maintain eCommerce content process guidelines to stay up-to-date with retailer.com requirements and best practices. Notify internal stakeholders when updates to retailer guidelines change.
  • Perform regular content audits on product description pages (PDP) to continually assess the efficacy of content’s impact on sales performance.
  • Coordinate with marketing, brand, quality assurance and legal teams to manage and update product copy (features and benefits) and claims
  • Manage the collection of assets (product renders, labels, photography, etc.)  from the company sharepoint folders for use in Salsify
  • Manage content development and deployment for new product and innovation launches.
  • Work with Customer Teams to manage PDP content updates
  • Create PIM (Salsify) catalogs as needed/required for customer teams
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure existing brand, category and product pages maintain accuracy.
  • Ensure that content is stored and syndicated through PIM (Salsify).
Experience & Background

  • 2+ years of experience working with eCommerce retail channels, including Amazon and Walmart.
  • 2+ years CPG Industry experience; preferably across FDMC
  • Experience working with data analytics, data sets, and SaaS platforms
  • Experience with Salsify or similar PIM preferred.
  • Experience working with large product catalogs preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree: a combination of education, training and experience that results in demonstrated competency to perform the work may be substituted.
  • High proficiency in MS Office Suite required (especially Excel and utilizing formulas) - Word, PowerPoint, OneDrive, SharePoint etc.)
  • Ability to balance and manage multiple tasks and work streams across functional groups
  • Strong organizational and planning skills are essential with a desire for continuous improvement
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Able to quickly learn necessary technical tools and systems required
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines, have an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Ability to build relationships and engage across customer teams
  • PIM experience (Salsify) a plus
