We’re looking for an experienced Digital Asset Manager (DAM) to support the implementation and management of a newly formed DAMS (Digital Asset Management System) initiative at Spotify, focusing on editorial assets. The role sits within the Design Platform team which services multiple cross-functional teams that handle creative design at Spotify.
As the Editorial DAM, you are responsible for ensuring that all digital assets have clear standards and are managed properly and can integrate with other applications/services. You will lead the creation and evolution of digital asset management capabilities by developing a roadmap focused on streamlining operations, optimizing user workflows, preparing for optimization projects with ML (machine learning), managing/iterating on a global taxonomy and metadata standards in close collaboration with a cross-functional group of creative teams.
What you'll do

What you'll do
- Assist in the scoping and implementing of our initial DAM, ensuring the structure can scale for future requirements
- Coordinate procedures to ingest and add metadata to new content from other Spotify teams and their relevant tools
- Maintain accurate procedures and records for the system, including regular tracking and reporting
- Collaborate with art directors and art buyers to help establish processes around image rights and tagging of both stock and commissioned photography
- Lead training sessions to ensure system users have the tools and knowledge necessary to operate the DAM independently and know how to raise support issues
- Lead the DAM program from start to finish, often taking inventory of what priorities should be in order to ensure a successful and innovative program for Spotify
- You have proven leadership experience in Digital Asset Management
- You have a solid understanding of DAM, CMS, and metadata tagging standards and principles
- You have practical experience building and maintaining metadata schemas and taxonomies for multi-sensory assets (editorial, moving image, audio)
- You have good knowledge of media Digital Rights Management (DRM)
- You have experience with reporting on success metrics, especially with regards to assets and success of a DAM program within a large company
- You are well organized and highly structured, with the ability to give attention to detail and guide a project from start to finish, often in collaboration with multiple partners
