Highly organized video and photo editor to join our Marketing team promoting public speakers through our website, email marketing, and on social media. This role supports our agency by helping to onboard the digital assets of new speakers to our website, as well as maintaining and curating video and image content collections for our website and social media. This position will steward the organization of HWA’s digital assets so that they are available for use internally as well as by external partners. - Lead the ongoing administration and maintenance of a Digital Asset Management (DAM) system to support organizational projects:
- Process/edit incoming photos and videos for marketing initiatives and event hosts
- Manage the digital asset lifecycle from creation to marketing, promotion, and archiving
- Best practice knowledge that can be applied to develop controlled vocabularies, taxonomies, file and folder naming conventions and structures
- Demonstrate basic understanding of legal issues around digital asset use and intellectual property, and develop solutions that serve business, creative, and legal requirements
- Fanatical about creating order from disorder
- Collaborate with colleagues through Outlook, Teams, and especially Asana for task and project management
- Respond to inquiries and requests from other teams – thinking broadly about what the ask is and how to fulfill it
- Engage and collaborate across the company to market our clients
- Demonstrated experience with managing digital assets in a cloud-based DAM system, ideally in a multidisciplinary organization
- Strong communication skills to convey ideas through writing, in internal and external messaging, and in meetings
- Solutions-oriented growth mindset approach, seeing challenges as opportunities
- Ability to juggle several projects at one time and be flexible with shifting priorities
- Familiarity with or willingness to learn programs including our Content Management System, Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite and Teams, Asana, Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Premiere, Illustrator, etc.), Canva, YouTube, Vimeo (familiarity with all these programs is not a requirement)
- Broad interest / curiosity in culture, media, the arts, politics, sports, and entertainment
- Organizational skills and interest in continuing to develop and refine our work processes and best practices
