POSITION SUMMARY
Flexjet, a leading provider of fractional private jet ownership and leasing, is currently seeking a qualified candidate to join the Global Marketing Department as a Digital Asset Manager. The Digital Asset Manager position will be responsible for managing several million dollars’ worth of video and photographic assets as well as preserving the heritage of the brand and its founders. This position will have frequent responsibilities that crossover to other departments or Directional Aviation sister companies.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain and manage the Flexjet Digital Asset Management System powered by Widen including collecting, organizing, and uploading of assets. Manage metadata input, search settings, routine site audits, user settings, reference requests, permission settings, order settings, and insights of the dashboard.
- Manage and monitor access and use of the digital assets, ensuring brand consistency, compliance, and copyrights.
- Manage any third-party vendors and facilitate digital asset upload and download, including third party retouching services.
- Prepare similar DAM platform and process to expand the digital asset program to other Directional Aviation sister companies. Prepare workflow with senior leaders of Sister companies to manage long-term.
- Work with Studio One to ensure compliance with legal rights/usage rights for photographs, talent, music licensing, etc.
- Provide communication and training related to ongoing releases of the DAM capabilities and feature updates to the system.
- Work with Internal Communications Manager and Human Resources Department to develop strategy for archives program to increase awareness and engagement among employees of company heritage.
- Maintain knowledge of existing trends as well as best practices for asset management.
- Track and evaluate effectiveness of Digital Asset Management system.
- Train team members on Digital Asset Management software, use, and workflow.
- Education – Management Library Science (MLS or MLIS) degree from an American Library Association (ALA) accredited university preferred, with a specialization in archival studies, digital media, or a Master’s degree in archival studies or similar experience.
- 3+ years working in archives or digital asset management, preferably in a corporate setting with management experience.
- Preferred if the candidate has experience establishing a new digital asset management program in a corporate setting.
- Strong understanding of the creative production process and terminology.
- Strong understanding of photography including file formats and terminology.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, (Photoshop, Lightroom, Bridge).
- Demonstrated experience with, and knowledge of, professional standards and best practices records management principles and procedures.
- Experience managing digital assets in a digital asset management system (DAM) required.
- Familiarity with electronic records (both born-digital and digitized) management issues and digital preservation tools.
- Demonstrated knowledge of computer applications such as Word, Excel, and archival management/database software.
- Working knowledge of descriptive metadata
- Exceptional written, verbal, analytical, organizational, project, and time management skills, and a fanatical attention to detail.
- Ability to set appropriate priorities for a variety of competing tasks and must be self-motiving and be able to work independently.
- Experience with legal and ethical standards associated with archival materials and digital assets.
- Innovative and creative thinker; proactively identifies opportunities; motivated by challenge, change and opportunity to help Flexjet look at things differently
- Ability to prioritize and complete multiple projects simultaneously, and work in a team environment.
- Ability to effectively communicate with C-level executives.
- Ability to accept feedback and work collaboratively as part of a team while still advocating a clear creative vision.
- 5% travel is expected
