We are seeking a highly organized and strategic Digital Asset Management Manager to oversee and optimize the American Heart Association’s Digital Asset Management (DAM) system. This role is critical in ensuring seamless asset organization, accessibility, and governance while driving adoption across teams. The ideal candidate has experience managing DAM platforms, implementing best practices, and training users to maximize efficiency and engagement. This is a remote position.

Responsibilities
- Own the overall administration, maintenance, and optimization of the American Heart Association’s DAM system (Bynder.
- Develop and enforce metadata structures, taxonomy, tagging, and naming conventions to ensure efficient asset retrieval.
- Provide training and ongoing support to internal teams to enhance DAM adoption and usability.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with vendor or IT team as needed.
- Establish and maintain governance policies to ensure brand consistency, compliance, and proper usage rights.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure assets are up to date, properly categorized, and compliant with licensing agreements.
- Collaborate with the National Marketing Communications Department and other cross-functional teams to streamline asset workflows and ensure proper governance.
- Maintain department credibility across a heavily matrixed environment by developing and enhancing strategic relationships.
- Identify and execute strategic needs to evolve the DAM system based on business goals and user feedback.
- Communicate DAM updates and strategy across leadership and key stakeholders to align goals and drive adoption.
- Gather feedback from stakeholders to continuously improve the DAM system and processes.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in digital asset management technology.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Three (3) years of experience managing a DAM system, experience with Bynder DAM a plus
- Five (5) years of experience is a plus
- Experience leading and implementing a successful marketing asset management strategy
- Strong understanding of metadata structures, taxonomy, and digital asset workflows
- Experience training users and driving adoption of digital tools across an organization
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Familiarity with creative file formats, licensing rights, and brand compliance best practices
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a variety of business teams and functions such as creative, marketing, communications, IT, and operations teams
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to adapt to evolving business needs
