The Digital Asset Manager plays a pivotal role in bringing structure and operational efficiency to our client’s MarTech ecosystem, focusing on Marketing asset management, to support strategic goals.

You are responsible for overseeing and leading a dynamic team engaged in various operational and content-related activities, coordinating data and reporting, and leading client-facing interactions within a Digital Asset Management (DAM) framework. This role supports a global company where leadership, customer service, governance, and process optimization are crucial. The primary focus will be on ensuring seamless day-to-day operations, implementing process improvements, and fostering global collaboration. The role requires effective leadership, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills.

They excel in fostering global collaboration, working closely with other team leads to establish clear guidelines and goals aimed at achieving common objectives and ensuring global standardization.

Leading by example, they exhibit exceptional client-facing engagement and service across various scenarios, ranging from day-to-day operations to handling complex marketing campaign engagements or product challenges. They effectively report up and partner with the Global Operations Manager (GOM), ensuring streamlined reporting and operations against Service Level Agreements (SLAs), while maintaining strong rapport and feedback loops with team.

How You Will Make an Impact:

Team and Operations Management:

  • Lead day-to-day team operations, including training, shared inbox management, content ingestion, and documentation, to ensure smooth functioning.
  • Oversee the timely delivery of assets into the Digital Asset Management (DAM) system.  
  • Ensure team members are well-trained, motivated, and aligned with organizational goals, creating a productive and positive work environment.
  • Provide strong leadership nurturing collaboration.
  • Trouble shoot and provide solutions to product issues and various other challenges.
  • Provide exceptional communication of wins, opportunities, and risks operationally to the team, and when required manage messaging to the client.
  • Audit, monitor, and report on asset rights/usage/restrictions and compliance.
Process Improvements:

  • Identify unique ways to organize and manage the entire digital asset life cycle.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation to streamline workflows, enhance efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • Design, implement and maintain metadata schemas that reflect the true needs of the business.
  • Develop, document, and manage processes on the central system to enhance team operations and global effectiveness.  
Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to implement best practices, enhancing overall operational efficiency and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Serve as liaison between the Shanghai team and other global teams, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
Client Facing Engagement:

  • Engage with stakeholders from various brand teams and agencies to understand their requirements and expectations.
  • Collaborate with brand team and agencies stakeholders to ensure content and campaigns are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships to facilitate smooth interactions with stakeholders and external partners.
  • Listen, learn, and adapt to changes in the business’ needs.
  • Attend Client Marketing Town halls to ensure knowledge to the business.  
What You'll Have:

Requires a BA/BS and a minimum of 6 years' experience in marketing, commerce and/or creative technologies or related field, including a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a client-facing agency or consulting role.; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

  • 5+ years of Digital Asset Management experience
  • Must have acute attention to detail  
  • Familiarity with DAM system
  • Broad technical and operational knowledge across various industry segments
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an influential communication style
  • Creative problem-solving mindset and a deeply curious nature
  • Ability to clearly articulate complex situations / ideas and lead discussions with clients, colleagues, and leadership
  • Understanding of project management principles  
  • Ability to adapt to evolving client needs, industry trends, and internal processes  
  • Strategic thinking capabilities  
  • Effective presentation skills
