Job Description

A global household name in the world of consumer electronics, are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Digital Asset Management Specialist to join the team.

The DAM Specialist will be responsible for the organisation, storage, and distribution of digital assets.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of digital asset management systems and best practices, ensuring efficient management and retrieval of assets for various teams within the organisation.

This role is hybrid role – 3 days onsite.

The Role

  • Organise digital assets in a systematic manner, ensuring easy retrieval and efficient use by internal teams.
  • Implement and maintain digital asset management systems and software.
  • Assign metadata, tags, and other relevant information to assets for quick search and retrieval.
  • Regularly audit digital asset libraries to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Design Studio and Production and Brand Managers to understand their digital asset needs.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify new assets and ensure they are properly categorised and stored.
  • Maintain the quality and consistency of digital assets, ensuring they meet the organisation's standards.
  • Convert and format assets as required for different platforms and purposes.
  • Implement access controls to ensure that sensitive assets are only accessible to authorised users.
  • Monitor and maintain the security of digital assets, protecting them against unauthorised use or distribution.
  • Provide training and support to team members on how to effectively use the digital asset management system.
  • Address any issues or concerns related to digital assets promptly and effectively.
The Person

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Digital Media, or a related field.
  • Proven experience working with digital asset management systems and software.
  • Strong understanding of metadata, taxonomy, and tagging best practices.
  • Familiarity with copyright and licensing related to digital assets.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing requirements.
  • Knowledge of graphic design, multimedia production, or related fields is a plus.
