A Digital Asset Management Lead (DAM) plays a crucial role in the Brand organization, focusing on managing and organizing digital assets, enhancing collaboration between Global and Regional teams, managing Brand consistency, compliance and security, & streamlining workflows.
A day in the life: what you’ll do
- Manage Brand Data Asset Management System metadata, building and updating taxonomies, automating workflows, and training users on how to access and find the information they need to use the Brand Data Asset Management System and get their jobs done more efficiently.
- Manage daily activities for the Brand DAM (Nuxeo) such as maintaining and evolving taxonomy metadata frameworks for Global Brand digital content systems as business needs evolve and scale.
- Continuous QA of metadata to ensure adherence to standards and identify new opportunities to evolve schema, documenting workflows, metadata models, and standards through the content lifecycle from ingestion to archiving
- Manage DAM User Accounts and DAM administration to ensure company compliance and security, internal and external
- Support Systems and Tools Manager on archival strategy and execute, the workflow that identifies upcoming asset expirations and the appropriate actions standards, and operating model to preserve and facilitate appropriate access to historical assets
- Improving on-going content discoverability for all regions and user experience through innovative metadata models
- Maintain existing training material to help train new and existing users, and update and develop as needed
- Degree in Library Science or Information Studies desirable, or equivalent education and/or experience
- 5+ years of professional DAM experience in a high-volume environment
- Strong knowledge of DAM systems, metadata standards, databases, rights and regional regulatory management
- Familiarity with data governance principles and rights management
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with great attention to detail
