Our Digital Strategy & CRM Office is seeking a Digital Asset Management Specialist to join the Social + Branded Content team. This individual will support Metrolinx’s content initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve and enhance the user journey via cohesive and comprehensive citizen experience. This role also improves Metrolinx’s digital content’s findability, accessibility, and quality compliance as the Administrator user of Digital Marketing’s Digital Asset Management (DAM) software.

What will I be doing?

  • Acts as Administrator of Digital Marketing’s Digital Asset Management (DAM) software, ensuring digital Marketing content creators at Metrolinx have efficient access to content assets
  • Codes and organizes DAM assets with a search and accessibility lens, ensuring DAM users can easily locate assets and further optimizing our digital channels for search and accessibility on digital channels (e.g. social, web, and CRM)
  • Tracks and files any required asset permissions, ensuring Metrolinx is compliant with any legal requirements around content usage
  • Uses Metrolinx’s social media software to source and permission User Generated Content (UGC) for use on Metrolinx’s digital channels, cataloguing it and needed permissions in the DAM, growing our library of digital assets and engaging customers
  • Broadens reach of Marketing activities by capturing digital assets that can be shared on digital channels
  • Sources, purchases, and optimizes content assets from external sources, cataloguing assets for future use to maximize returns
  • Acts as Administrator of Digital Marketing’s digital asset software, ensuring assigned users have access, and that DAM assets are integrated
  • Acts as Subject Matter Expert of Digital Asset Management at Metrolinx, producing training materials and training different internal divisions as required
  • Researches, analyzes, and produces reports to justify digital asset initiatives to senior internal stakeholders
  • Analyzes and interprets information gathered from external sources and verifies for accuracy and relevance using primary and secondary research methods and internal and external sources to investigate relevant information and produce accurate and effective asset recommendations and documentations
  • Conducts research and makes recommendations that leverage digital assets to optimize marketing and communication strategies and ensure smooth rollout
  • Researches and investigates issues, and gathers background material, statistics, and other raw data used to identify emerging digital asset needs
  • As Administrator of DAM and digital asset software, ensures assigned users have correct access, and software is optimized for maximum integration and usability
  • Partners with internal stakeholders to understand possible collaborations and identifies potential inter-relationships with DAM; works closely with teams to establish and implement DAM best practices
  • Responds to enquiries, provides advice, and makes recommendations in accordance with established legal and regulatory requirements and corporate policies, and procedures
  • Provides support and integration across the business unit for the planning process and recommends solutions and improvements to business processes
  • Ensures the cost-effective sourcing of assets for a wide range of digital media
  • Enables maximum efficiency of content production budgets by ensuring assets and permissions are correctly tracked for use and future reuse
  • Trains staff and third-party agencies as needed to use the DAM software
  • Coordinates meetings, establishes agenda, and accommodates team schedules
What skills and qualifications do I need?

  • Completion of a college or university diploma in Digital, Marketing or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years’ related experience. Experience with Social Studio, Canva and Cloudinary an asset
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Phone photography/video
  • Interpersonal, collaboration, and oral/written/presentation communication skills
  • Working knowledge and experience with Digital Asset Management (DAM) software
  • Proficiency in Social Studio, Canva, and Cloudinary an asset
  • Ability to take high quality, social, web and CRM photos and videos using a phone
