JOB SUMMARY

The Associate, Digital Asset Management and Distribution, will support the daily maintenance and usability of the Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems, support the launch and implementation of new DAM functionalities, support metadata taxonomy, support asset workflow management and studio project management tools, and other related areas in conjunction with the Asset Management team. This role requires a comfort with technical aspects of DAM systems, a creative eye, and a passion for workflow.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the daily maintenance and usability of the Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems to ensure that creative and product assets are findable and are distributed within the larger asset management workflow.
  • Support DAM strategy and end user needs across multiple project management, design, and asset distribution systems from creation to customer and our third party partners.
  • Collaborate across creative, business, and technical teams to implement new platforms and procedures
  • Support project management workflows and asset distribution workflows
  • Contribute to the design, creation, maintenance, and execution of metadata and taxonomy structure.
  • Maintain an understanding of industry standards for metadata management (IPTC, XMP, Dublin Core, and EXIF)
  • Document processes and train user groups on processes and platforms and manage permissions and access across the company and for external user groups
  • Serve as point of contact with inquiries regarding assets within the DAM, as well as troubleshooting DAM issues with users and vendors.
  • Monitor and assist with integrity of digital files and metadata within the DAM.
  • Support the continued adoption of the DAM system
  • Document bugs and feature improvements and communicate effectively to technology resources.
  • Other duties as identified and assigned.
EDUCATION & PRIOR EXPERIENCE NEEDED

  • 2 years experience in corporate or creative Digital Asset Management, preferably with Adobe Experience Manager, displaying a strong understanding of creative assets and product assets utilized by retail organizations
  • Experience effectively overseeing the asset management process and workflows for large quantities of creative assets, including ingestion, review, approval, handoff, and archiving
  • Possess high level of organization and experience working with taxonomy and applying metadata
  • Proficient in use of multiple tools, trackers, and file storage systems
  • Experience with technical projects and hands-on technical experience
  • Understand asset usage rights and related legal issues and implement solutions to ensure compliance
  • Ability to tackle complex problems, proactively anticipate project needs, offer solutions, and adaptable to change
  • Ability to meet deadlines and get results while juggling many priorities within tight timeframes
  • Excellent social and oral/written communication skills
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud products and understand related image rendering tools
  • Experience working in Creative field or Photo Studio environment with asset management emphasis
  • Proficiency with Microsoft productivity suite and project management software
  • Familiar with emerging and existing DAM technologies
  • Proficient on both Apple and Windows platforms
