The Digital Asset Coordinator is responsible for increasing the value and efficiency of the DAM system by ensuring the safe-keeping and increasing the searchablity of DSG's digital assets, including photography, video, animation, and other work. Organize, code, and share assets across the entire organization using our DAM system. Duties include ongoing DAM ingestion, communication and organization of photo and video shoot standards and assets, maintenance of the DAM system assets, user training and support, and development and documentation of DAM processes and standards. Advise and partner in the initial and ongoing implementation of our video management process. Highly motivated, detail-oriented, self-starter.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Main contact between the Creative Systems team and the team on photo and video shoots. Ensure accurate information and documentation shared with on-set digital technician or photographer/videographer, work with agencies and contracted production team to ensure proper naming, storage, and handling of assets on-set, coordinate delivery of assets from the shoot to proper parties post-shoot, check and update embedded metadata, and maintain collection of assets from current and past shoots.
  • Lead DAM video manager. Drive innovation in usability for video content including cinemagraphs, gifs, campaign videos, educational videos, and films. Partner with videographer/DIT, Creative and the DAM team to organize and catalogue video in an ever-evolving process. Maintain latest standards and employ an active test & learn strategy to continuously improve video asset tagging, search ability and usage requirements.
  • Support Creative Systems Team systems and users. Promote, train, and support all users on a daily basis. Listen, learn, and adapt to changes in the business needs of the organization. Proactively manage process as technology and systems evolve.
  • Ongoing attention towards improved production with DAM to save time and money, as well as proper usage. Ongoing review of internal and industry best in class practices and procedures for relentless improvement of the DAM process. Champion and drive change management.
QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3-5 years of experience with DAM solutions
  • Communication with diverse groups
  • Previous experience with DAM systems
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Metadata
  • Taxonomy
