Application Manager for the Digital Asset Management System (DAM) - responsible for ensuring that the DAM and supporting development & release management processes effectively & efficiently deliver the required content to the marketing community across EMEA.

  • Work with key business stakeholders and Digital Operations team to determine and deliver ongoing improvements and new functionalities to the DAM to support and improve efficient/effective content workflows.
  • Plan and manage the DAM strategic & tactical roadmap and small change backlog,prioritising items that deliver the most value.
  • Product Owner of the development backlog. Work with the business and IT to set clear and regular prioritization based on business value and complexity.
  • Work with IT, external development teams on the planning & delivery of new functionality using relevant project management methodologies.
  • Prepare functional requirements for approved changes to our digital platforms and liaise with IT and developers throughout the development cycle to ensure accuracy of delivery.
  • Work with SCRUM Masters, IT delivery teams and the business to ensure that new demand and small change items are delivered against agreed timelines, budgets and to the desired quality.
  • Perform User Acceptance Testing and Quality Assurance on new functionality, ensuring they meet business and technical requirements.
  • Own DAM knowledge management system, which describes related processes. Maintain the content so that users across EMEA can work effectively.
  • Develop, deliver & manage governance models to ensure assets are tagged, protected and stored correctly throughout the entire content lifecycle.
  • Engage the EMEA Super User community to understand their views (needs and requests) and ensure they are kept informed of all future developments.
  • Work with NSO/RSOs to determine country specific requirements and advise on usage of existing platforms to deliver. Where functionality cannot be delivered, work with IT to determine the best solution to meet their needs. Add to new backlog as appropriate.
  • Educate the business on the current capabilities of our chosen platforms and be the main point of contact with the business to identify new and future capability requirements.
  • Understand how the DAM integrates with other digital applications in order to support the delivery of connected systems throughout the content publishing workflow.
  • Implement and manage housekeeping processes for assets, folders, security policies, users and user groups.

  • A relevant University degree and experience of working in a DAM management or Taxonomy role within an agency or corporate.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Ability to synthesize and simplify complex information.
  • Ability to work on a portfolio of projects at once, responding flexibly to the changing needs of the business.
  • A passion for data, online and search.
  • Experience with taxonomy related online tools (DAM).
  • International experience an advantage.
  • Knowledge of different Meta data and Meta data standards.
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • A team player who enjoys working as part of a team. Self-motivated with high expectations, standards and determination.
