Position Overview: Reporting to the Director of Creative Content, the Digital Media Asset Specialist will manage all pre- and post-production digital assets, including video, audio, images, and other media files. This includes organizing, storing, and making assets accessible for production and post-production teams, as well as for archival and future uses. The role also involves ensuring the accuracy and integrity of metadata, collaborating with various teams, and utilizing an artificial intelligence powered media management system to ensure that digital media assets are properly preserved, described, and made accessible.

- Manage ingesting and transcoding of digital media assets into media asset management system, adhering to best practices and processes to ensure the most efficient use of the system
- Receive, organize, and catalog digital assets from various sources, including production footage, graphics, and promotional materials
- Manage metadata, ensuring accurate and consistent metadata is applied to all assets for easy retrieval and use
- Utilize and maintain DAM system to store, manage, and deliver digital assets efficiently
- Implement and maintain file naming conventions and folder structures to ensure easy navigation and organization
- Work with production teams, editors, designers, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure assets are accessible and utilized effectively
- Manage user permissions and security to protect sensitive assets and prevent unauthorized access
- Develop and implement archiving strategies to ensure long-term preservation of digital assets
- Evaluate and verify artificial intelligence produced metadata to ensure accuracy of descriptions
- Prepare and deliver assets for various purposes, including broadcast, web, and social media
- Provide reports and data to track asset usage, identify trends, and improve asset management processes
- Monitor system performance and address technical issues with IT as needed
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- Degree in a relevant field (Library and Information Science, Media Production, or related)
- Experience with DAM systems and familiarity with industry-standard DAM software and tools
- Knowledge of digital file formats and codecs to understand the characteristics and requirements of different types of media
- One year of professional experience working with and coordinating effective use of metadata in a media asset management system
- Experience working with digital photographic and audio-visual assets in a museum, library, archive, or in a creative operations/production environment
- Working experience and knowledge of metadata schemas, standards, and best practices
- Knowledge of artificial intelligence powered media asset management systems (Axle AI or similar system)
- Proficiency in artificial intelligence powered media asset management systems
- Strong understanding of metadata standards, file formats, and digital workflows
- Experience working with photographic and audio-visual content in a museum setting
- Working knowledge of country music and its ever-evolving history
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively
- Excellent organizational, communication, and troubleshooting skills
- Strong time management skills to effectively manage large volumes of digital assets and meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
- Detail-oriented skill set and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while prioritizing and managing multiple projects
