Job Description
The Global Web Content Specialist reports to the Data & Analytics Manager within the Microbiology division. The position supports the commercialisation of the Microbiology product portfolio on www.thermofisher.com, through the creation and maintenance of microbiology marketing pages and assistance with associated marketing tasks.
The position serves a key role in supporting the marketing function to ensure Microbiology web pages are up to date, attract and convert visitors, meet regulatory requirements and represent the best customer experience possible.
This role is Hybrid with 1 day a week based from our Basingstoke office.
Responsibilities:
The Global Web Content Specialist reports to the Data & Analytics Manager within the Microbiology division. The position supports the commercialisation of the Microbiology product portfolio on www.thermofisher.com, through the creation and maintenance of microbiology marketing pages and assistance with associated marketing tasks.
The position serves a key role in supporting the marketing function to ensure Microbiology web pages are up to date, attract and convert visitors, meet regulatory requirements and represent the best customer experience possible.

Responsibilities:
- Build & Publish content to the website (lead collection & marketing landing pages) using the content management system (Adobe Experience Manager) following brand guidelines and standard methodology for layout and customer engagement.
- Follow standard process for metadata in order to support search optimization.
- Ensure all web updates receive appropriate reviews and maintain records as agreed.
- Follow standard methodology for creating and maintaining localised content.
- Handle translation requests to ensure page content meets regional needs.
- Work with other members of the marketing team to build and link forms for data capture.
- Build and maintain knowledge of corporate digital systems, processes and governance standards.
- Manage digital assets in various libraries including Open Text, Brightcove and AEM image DAM.
- Review and adjust web page structure to improve engagement and conversion.
- Undertake additional tasks as required for the promotion, maintenance and reporting of the Microbiology portfolio on Thermofisher.com.
- Degree in a relevant subject
- Experience working with web content management systems, preferably Adobe Experience Manager.
- Experience of creating web pages for readability and engagement.
- Experience of working with Adobe Analytics software, tracking web performance, using A/B Testing to improve customer engagement.
- The candidate should have experience in developing web forms that capture customer data and should be able to ensure that the collected data is accurate, complete, and meets regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge of SEO techniques.
- Understanding of merchandising principles to improve the presentation and promotion of products/services on the website.
- Comfortable working within a team or self starter.
- Excellent written English.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritise to meet team member needs.
- Experience working in a structured environment and follow processes.
- Proficient at learning new software and systems.
- Computer skills and experience of Microsoft Office and Outlook is important, solid understanding of Photoshop useful.
- Basic HTML
- Knowledge of GDPR & Data Privacy legislations.
- Comfortable using new AI tools to improve web content & customer experience.
- Understanding of Eloqua & SalesForce platforms.
- Experience working within global environment
